  • my dads a newfie and he can play , i always try to keep up with him, but i cant get the sound when doing the slide on the fingers ?? what give? oh well back to me wisers whiskey LOL

  • If I understand you :You are having trouble with the finger roll . The thing that makes it sound clear is keeping your fingers wide apart and rather stiff as the spoons roll down to the last hit on the leg . There are three hits on the fingers and a louder final hit on your leg like "dud ol ah dunt". The last beat with more pressure . All the best , Guy

  • Hello, Guy Wolff. I am Guy Kern and have been playing the spoons since 1967. I also recommend woodens spoons, sangria ladles (sound like horses' hooves), plastic spoons (Dansk have a unique high sound). Fun demo....Thank you. If you are in the Massachusetts area, please get in touch. Guy

  • Hey Joe ,Did I hear congratulations are in order?? .. Chase is the rational one and is blue . Trevor would like to be the "Emperor of all he surveys" but has the IQ of a Brick . His line is "Kneel down before your Emperor". For those not initiate these are my sons stuffed bedtime friends . The rabbits are weak but the Pandas have their own destiny and rebel !!! George Lucus or Herman Hesse seem to be involved , Great to hear from you , Guy

  • compelling and educational! I especially like the peep and laugh at the end!

  • It is so important Not to takes ones self To seriously . We can do a spoon duet at Thanksgiving ! Maybe a food fight for YT ..

  • I enjoyed that, I have always wondered how to do it. I have tried it a few times but now I think I can start practicing. Thanks

  • I hope this will be useful for you . All the best , Guy

  • Doing the finger roll : Keep your fingers stiffly apart while rolling the spoons down them to hit the leg . It gives a du da du Dum . Three on the fingers and the last on the leg .. The wrist roll is a bit harder . All the best , Guy
