  • Good stuff indeed. I use that hip bump sweep transition to the triangle ALL the time

  • these short videos with tons of techniques is a great way for me to learn, just the way my mind works. thanks a bunch!

  • damm i learn awesome things

  • Love it!

  • This video is incredible.

  • this is the greatest video in all of history!!

  • if i know and use this i will win all my matches

  • Great video ! Subbed 4 sho!

  • I literally like just MIND BLOWN.

  • Holy shit, this is fucking amazing!

Sorry for the language but BJJ gets me crazy when the instructor has this much skill.

  • very slick

  • I fell in love with your videos. Kudos to you

  • I'll never understand why I see "dislikes" on Jason's videos. What's to dislike?

  • Awesome!

  • Great vid and nice clear detailed narration love it.

  • I'm new to BJJ. I love the video but I'm confused why these are called "closed guard" techniques when you have to start every technique by opening your guard?

  • @Hotkarl63 Open guard is generally having more space between you and your opponent...e.g. Feet on the hips, etc. Closed guard is usually when there is not much space between you and your opponent and they are close to you.

  • @jasculs I don't know how to thank you for this video ! This will improve my game A LOT !!! I need to check out you're hole channel!

  • @Hotkarl63 Hey, I'm a Ribeiro/Maxercise Jiu Jitsu bluebelt, I'd like to to add that most techniques in the closed guard can only be completed by opening the legs; everything from basic scissor sweep, to submissions like armbar and omoplata, or even two on one to taking the back, in order to have the mobility to execute the move, you got to open up the gaurd. Good luck.

  • @Hotkarl63 Closed Gaurd is when your opponent is in your guard and your feet are locked behind them.. holding your opponent close to you.. open guard is just the opposite.. Your legs are open/on the hips/etc..

  • @Hotkarl63

starts with the guard closed. to use your guard you typically have to open it at some point.

  • dude....im an INSTANT subscriber. Good stuff man thank you!

  • bad ass!! wow. i'm gonna try practicimg these combos over and over again for hours.

  • This is really an eye opener!!!!

  • There are some awesome transitions in this video.

  • holy crap this is actually really good

  • awsome

  • nice!

  • Good stuff. I still remember (and love) the closed guard series with the "Psycho" soundtrack..

  • Some of you criticizing need to remember what this video isnt. This video is not a detailed instructional. Yes there are some mistakes but I personally am not worried about them and figure either Jason was doing some of these things loose so not to kill his partner by slamming subs or maybe those are things he is a little rusty (not part of his A game). Either way I dont really care.

  • My ground game has improved 300% after watching this, thank you sooooo much!! I hope to see a similar side control or mount video in the near future.

  • Excellent video. Well made with clear instruction. I will watch this many times and share with my friends. Your movement is excellent, a well deserved blackbelt

  • Best video on youtube. Any chance of a guard passing combo or side control submission combo video any time soon? :)

  • dammmnn this is fuking awesome !

  • Jason , that's an incredible video .... thank you a lot !!!

  • Great video. Would love to see a bunch of them chained together for the last 30 seconds

  • this is great, only thing missing is when your opponent resists the guillotine and pushes in to close space, you utilize the under hook, release the neck, bound your hand with under hook hand over his shoulder, open your guard, sweep him into a neck crank as you scarf hold position. Old school pedro sauer move, not used as much these days!

  • wow your jiu jitsu is awesome really wish i lived where you are so i could train with you. Awesome videos

  • Bravo! Clip is extra!

  • Beautiful

  • Jason, you are a freaking genius!! Not only are you able to put together a complete template for a solid guard game, but you've summarized into a record few minutes!!!

  • Awesome! I like!

  • This is as close to a be-all-end-all guard guide as it gets wow!

  • This is incredible. Much appeciated.

  • This is money

  • knowing nothing about BJJ, this is obviously a quality video.

  • Awesome

  • scully, like a mad scientist, concise demonstration of some awesome combinations

  • Sick combos! Thanks for the video. I seen your open registration is closed? I was interested in getting the free bjj system outline. Thanks once again.

  • Jason, you are the man! Excellent video! Thank you sir!

  • Beautiful.

  • Thank you for this video. Great work.

  • this is great stuff dude

  • Scully, you have some of the best videos out there. I only get to train 2-3 days a week but your videos help me on the days when i'm not training. I watch and learn things that I normaly miss when I'm rolling. Really great stuff! Looking forward to more, Jason! Great work and much RESPECT!

  • Great video!

  • Is the Bjj System Outline free to download? Should we enter our email to be able to download it?

  • @ThePumpmeup Yes sir...the BJJ Outline is free...just enter your email...you will also get emails when I put out new content as well. Be on the lookout though because I am IMPROVING the BJJ System Outline and will be giving it away for free as well.

  • @jasculs Oh that's great. I'll download it as well. Your videos on bjj techniques are so great. I'm checking them everyday. Keep on posting man :)

  • @ThePumpmeup keepvid.com

  • this was seriously the best thing i have seen in a long time for my game, so many combos i never thought of

  • i dont practice bjj yet, but videos such as this one makes me want to do it so bad. This spring i will attempt to try it :D

  • Nicely done. Nothing fancy that requires super hero qualities, but bread and butterstuff. Exactly what one needs to excercise again and again. Transitions from one technique to another until they become smooth and feel totally natural.

Excellent sampling of the different techniques!! Keep up the good work!

  • Sick! Love the way this was shot...finally a video for advanced people that don't need 5 minutes of talking before a technique! Great work!

  • Well done sir.

  • What are some moves that you may have for bigger guys like me (6'3 245) that may have less mobility than average sized competitors.

  • @iwannagrapple I'm the exact same size as you and all of these techniques work perfectly for me. If you an athletic 245 maybe you just need to practice more. If you're carrying a little extra weight I'd say that's probably your problem.

  • excellent strategies

  • eddie used your video for a playlist. must feel great bro.

  • YES !!!!!!! LIKEY VERRRRRY MUCH !!! Awesome stuff man !!!

  • this is a very great video man!

  • Uhhhhmmmmmmmmm...Like

  • If you made a DVD or (even better) a downloadable compilation of all your fast info videos (like this and the closed guard one) I will buy it. Great stuff! This is how it should be done.

  • Fantastic video, I found this inspiring!

  • Thanks for the resource great refeence!

  • Nice video... Refreshing!!

  • i don't know Omo Plata yet, and we don't realy cover wrist locks in my BJJ class, but i might start intigrating some of this in, might really catch my teammates off guard with a few of these :D

  • Double-triple like. Great stuff! Really helpful

  • Amazing stuff!

  • You are a freaking genius man!!! Thanks for sharing... God bless!

  • Extremely well done, Jason. This is the best quickvid i've seen in quite a while.
