I use my primer almost everyday its by quo. I like it and my skin seems no worse for the wear. I have really sensitive dry skin, I also use a moisturiser daily. If I don't use the primer my foundation goes blotchy. But it makes sense it wouldn't be great everyday. Thanks for the tips canadian girls kick ass!

Thank you!! You should use a moisturizer on your face instead :) Preferably one with SPF! It'll still protect your skin and help your foundation go on smoothly, and will still let your skin breathe!

Aw thank you so much ! :D And you're not being creepy at all! haha Don't worry about asking questions - I love questions :D The nail polish in this video is from OPI's France Collection and it's "Eiffel for this Colour" :) For fall I'm loving darker reds and purples. My new favourite red is "Chick Flick Cherry" - it's a darker red but not a burgundy; still very classic :) For a smokey eye, i'd actually suggest doing carbon in the crease, and a slightly lighter colour on the lid! ...

...Simply because it'll give your eye more definition :) I love this silver from MAC called "Elecktra" that's not tooo light but still light enough that it won't be too much of a contrast. I'd put that on the lid with carbon in the crease and lots of blending! On the brow bone i'd probably put a lighter colour like Shroom from MAC to brighten your eyes so they don't get lost in the dark shadow :) If you'd like I can do a video on it! :Dxx

Thank you :D I'm using all MAC : Beige-ing Shadestick as a primer/base, Dazzlelight on my brow bone, Delft paint pot, Shimmermoss e/s, a little bit of Carbon e/s, Eye Pencil in Ebony, and Prolash mascara in Coal Black! xx

Yes :) Just moisturizer! It'll still give your skin a "base" for the foundation while moisturizing but will let your skin breathe :)

Unfortunately it does :( I checked the ingredients on the Smashbox website and for the original photofinish it says it contains "Cyclomethicone" which is a silicone based lotion, and the light contains "Polysilicone-11". I've only taken basic chem at Uni but I'm assuming it contains silicone simply because of the base "silicone" :) Too bad they both do :( But thanks for suggesting it! It was interesting to research! <3

good info, thanks. This caught my eye because I have really oily skin and need something with full/heavy coverage without clogging pores. No lucky yet. Any suggestions? Price doesn't even matter anymore I just want nice skin! ( yes I have a great skin care regimen just not foundation/concealer)

Also, have you learned anything about silica in school? Im curious what the deal really is.

I'd suggest trying coverfx :) It's a creme-based foundation with full coverage and it shouldn't clog your pores :) I'd pair it with a translucent powder though to make sure your skin doesn't appear oily with it! You can use it as a concealer too!

We haven't learned anything about silica in school...I actually used to take silica gel to help my hair and nails...but other than that, i don't have any info. I'll ask my teacher :)

That's strange...I guess that's why they say "Mineralize" and not just mineral...Mineral makeup can be tricky because it might mention minerals, without being talc-free and more "pure" than non-mineral based :(
