I know people use Pontiac Fieros, but I was wondering could a builder theoretically use a Fiero base and swap the engine for a Corvette engine/transmission with minimal altercations to the outward lambo body?

well i know a lt of people who do this will swap out the fiero engine with a northstar v8 but i don't know about a vette engine.

V-8 archies has several cars that have ls1, ls3 and even a few ls7 engine swaps.

V8 archie makes a kit for smallblack 350 conversions, so an LS-1 could theoratically fit..there is no way u could use a vette transmision as the motor is mounted transversly on a fiero...most people choose to drop in a northstar V8, as its layout makes for an easy swap. the supercharged v6 from the pontiac GXP/montecarlo SS is becoming a popular mod these days.

u couldn't use a corvette tranny, there is not enough room. look at the factory five GTM they use a vette engine coupled with a Porsche transaxel otherwise the engine would be waay too far forward
