@iSeenthatB4 -> Select Create->Polygon Primitives->Plane and click on a small box. Then choose Edit->Reset Settings. After that just click Create and you'll have the same plane shown here. You can also reset the settings for a cube later so it will be the same as in video.

I need help please, I select Polygons and create a grid. But my is not even a actual grid, its just a empty flat surface.

great beginner tutorial, just what I was looking for.
One comment though, when you do that slow pan or zoom with your camtasia video it can be very nauseating
