This is nowhere near the first MMA fight. Ring Do Heroés in Brazil was doing vale tudo fights back in the 50´s to the 70´s every week. There were also style vs style matchups at carnevals in Brazil late 19th century. Not even mentioning Pankration which was the real predecessor of MMA in the god damn ancient olympic games.

@TKO2121 no i reckon people would of loved him cuz look at david daye he tries to intemidate his opponents but he just come sout being cruel. but ali is a master of intemidation he only intimidates his opponents to make them think they cant win. Like he made poems which the audience would of loved. and he was hillarious.overall he wasnt really cocky i dont know what word to describe him put i reckon people would of loved him
