I just had to write to say thanks for sharing your car with us. It is really beautiful. I enjoy the luxurious products Oldsmobile has brought to the market through the years. This may sound funny, but you really do have a fantastic voice! Wow! I see from another comment you made that you were an announcer for 32 years. Very enjoyable to listen to! Very clear and, well, I enjoy good speaking. You really don't hear much of that anymore, unfortunately.
Beautiful Starfire! Im the second owner of a 62 starfire as well, Black with maroon interior. Its all original and Im in the process or replacing a few worn parts such as the aluminum side panels and the seats. Mine is a older restoration but its been garage kept its whole life and its complete. Ill try to get a video up.
Your Olds is beautiful. My grandfather had a mauve colored '62 that he bought new. I've seen pictures of it, and I've often admired how beautiful it was. He also had a '63 and '65 Starfire, but the '62 was my favorite. By the way, your voice almost sounds as if you're from a vintage Olds commercial. Cool voice too.
Thanks for the compliment filmore593. This Starfire has been restored down to the last nut and bolt. It's undergone a complete rebuilt. Much of the beauty is in what no one ever sees. (A true restorer will understand this.) As for the voice, I was an announcer for 32 years....now retired. Thanks again and good luck.
I hope we'll hear from other '62 Starfire enthusiasts. Please write....or post a comment.
Nice. I can dfinityely see some similarity in the front end of this car, and my 1998 Olds 88 LS. The big oval is still there.

I hope you'll put a detailed video on YouTube when you get your Starfire restored. I'd like to see it.
