  • how did this album miss...? (incidentally or not,the 3 guys look cool & edwin looks like he is taking a shit....)

  • @lilnetty2 It was pretty big in Canada...around 97

  • @evilcupcake83...yeah, it didnt sell well in the US but it was semi big up here.Under rated imo...so was Limblifter.

  • @evilcupcake83

Yep they were pretty big in Canada!! I'm making my 90s and early 2000s(that have that 90s feel) playlist, I'm tired of trolling videos to find them - now I can put them altogether when I want to hear them

  • EVERYTHING WAS SO BRIGHT IN THE 90'S

  • And i hate my whole family............ That line has always stuck with me. Not that i hate my fam, just that line........

  • Is that one of Sloan on the couch?

  • AHH!! EDWIN HOW I LOVE THEE!! Awesome cd...well back then for me it was a cassette but either way it still rocks!

  • Lol 3:38-340

  • I want Jag's hair style

  • Hit play and turn it up to 11.

  • Eatin' KD with a tin of tuna out of the same pot it was cooked in while living in an over crowded shit hole. The only thing that was different for me was that I also added a can of corn.

  • Why is Jag nibbling on bruce Gordan's nipple?

  • I love you Jagori Tanna!

  • surely by now edwin must realize the huge mistake it was to leave IME. they could have been the best band in canada. better than the hip, better than OLP. that honor now belongs to sloan.

  • @HAPPYPANDA53 agreed. But I kinda think Sloan had that even in 1996.

  • give me a 66 oz of whisky put me in the drives seat and watch me kill everyone in the car

  • this song used to keep me up every sunday night

  • I'm out of money, that was what they said

lol thats what it sounds like ^

  • This songs rocks!

  • i always thought the glasses guy looked like chris murphy, and everytime i see edwin preform i'm amazed as to how buff he is.

  • Used to love IME - this song wasn't one of my favorites, except for the small part between 2:50 - 3:20 - awesome.

  • i'm outta my head that what was THEY said!

  • wtf not avaliable on itunes

  • @kpawis youtube-mp3 dott org

  • "Edwin" was light years behind I mother earth! Thanks for leaving one of the better Canadian alt bands of the 90's

  • @2:55 excessive use of tin foil makes any low budget music video of the early 90's impressive! :D

  • @Bobthequeef Really?? I kinda see Edwin's side in how he was basically being used as a singer for higher and not haveing any of his input used for the band. They just wanted him to sing "their" songs.

  • hes got another band called crash karma

  • Man, everything is better with 90s.

Well, maybe not everything, but rock and roll for damn sure.

  • aaahhh... the good ol days :)

  • I still get a skin rush when the guys kick into that wicked riff around 3:00

  • Haven't heard this song in so long but never forgot though, i almost always find myself singing this in the shower on sundays haha. I love the look that guy gives his friend at the end it's like his friend looks at is like "Dude, where'd you get that???" and that guys like "Told you dude, you missed it... to bad" the 90's were so fun I jump on Guys bleaching their band wagon to i looked you so ridiculous I must have been on drugs

  • Like if you like 1996 !!!!

  • <3 still love it

  • edwin = total man-crush lmao

  • Comment removed

  • @pinkpamelove Its go-go dancers not strip dancers

  • too gay

  • OMFG....been looking for this song for ever....how could i forget the name of the band...lmao... I loved these guys...thanks for the vid

  • @Bobthequeef lmao.....why? You mean Edwin the singer?

  • Tin Foil room!!!

  • saw this shit live in my local pub...called "Wylders" in those days aka the real deal...now it goes by some stupid shit like "Cecils"...Im out of my head, that was what they said, there was no way i would trust again...

  • This was easily IME's best tune.

  • @vvvmtlvvv I disagree. I'm going to have to say Earth, Sky, and C. Was so happy to see it on the juke box at the bar last night. Rocked it. All IME songs are good accept when Edwin left.

  • The days when not only mainstream music was great, but the Canadian rock scene was incredible - there was actually a scene and played on muchmusic normally. People knew the bands and songs and could name them. It started fading in the late 90s due to the music industry (everywhere) getting too corporate, shoving AGENDA and being plastic.

  • MMMMMMM....Flakey tuna......mixed in with KD, and a can of corn to booot! Canadian poverty food---Yum!

  • i seem to remember this song being a lot better.

  • @almightyseancore you were probably high to like the rest of us

  • Watching videos from Scenery and Fish makes me wish that Edwin and IME would get back together. I never could get into post-Edwin IME stuff.

  • @kimball99

Edwin is in a new band...Crash Karma is a new Canadian superband with the singer from I Mother Earth, guitarist from Our Lady Peace and drummer from The Tea Party...in my opinon some of the best Canadian albums of the 90's were written by these bands

  • @kimball99 really? Scenery and Fish was a great album I'll give that it cemented the bands popularity but it was so mainstream. But the first album Dig was better more rock and less pop almost heavy metalish and they went back to that after Edwin left with Blue Green Orange and stayed that way until the band broke up again

  • has kinda an Alice in Chains feel at the beginning....... Lovin it...

  • @Berqy123 Another very good band that was taken too soon, but I heard their new shit, Jerry's still got it...

  • LMAO!!! at the kraft dinner still in the pot.

    Thats me hahahaha

  • I remember this song. Catchy as fuck.

  • crash karma

  • The 90's had some good $#it ;)

  • Levitate.

  • Feel heavy?

  • Levitate.

  • dude, you should check out the (2) versions of levitate on Earth, sky, and everything in between ( its track number 12), its just a little different than the version off of dig, but worth hearing. Just go to HMV and check it out! oh and check out subterranean wonderland (3) while you're at it and the acoustic version of so gently we go

  • nobody could replacce edwin

  • i miss them

  • Songs all good til about 3 mins in then it turns toshit.

  • IME still rockin... They're so good that when you listen to all of their old songs now, you'll get the feel that they just invented these songs yesterday

  • the guitarist looks like gary oldman

  • haha at least gary oldman is a wicked actor

  • This song reminds of Thunder Bay! Good old school days @ Lakehead. Way out in the middle of nowhere! How the heck did I ever end up in that town....

  • I found it! I was thinking there was that one really killer song by them and I thought it was raspberry but its this one... this one had that killer chorus and beat - Really good

  • OXzs...they had a few. Don't forget One More Astronaut...was sorta their claim to fame

  • Yeah! I went on an IME bender when I wrote that comment, I don't know why they got into my head this was my only 2nd vid then I went from vid to vid and all their songs came back to me. OMA was a good song but not my fav tho. This one was much better I think. I saw your profile and thought Cool you are from Canada too, but I guess almost anyone on IME vids are Canadian

  • What lilnetty said. The first 6 songs of that album were awesome. IME is/was so under-rated. They should've been huger than huge.

  • this album made me take stock in my "career". if these guys couldnt "make it" with this record, wtf was I doing? the 1st 6 songs on this album are top notch for the genre....r.i.p. i-m-e and what a bass sound! hes in blue man group now.

  • the look on the guys face at 3:43. dude is like WTF? k, thanks

  • i want to party in one of those mirror-foil rooms! that would be sweet

  • This reminds me of Vancouver.

  • No doubt the 90's was the best time for music!!

  • dam fucking straight nirvana STP smashing pumpkins i mother earth foo fighters alice in chains and the list goes on and on and on

  • this was a great album liek the guy said below. There album after sucked to fucking bad

  • This album was so awesome. I love everything on Scenery and Fish. These guys are so talented.

  • It's funny that you say this, because before today I hadn't listened to this song for at least 5 years, and that beat is always, always stuck in my head.

  • What happend to music like this? The 90's where an awesome time to grow up in, but all this bullshit dance music makes me want to off myself.

  • I hear ya.......most music nowadays is pure shit!

  • No such thing as rape in Edwin's books. He never did any of that shit. old ass rumors. lolol

  • I dont get it. Edwin raped a women and was shot on the Danforth?????

  • Edwin with all the looks he had would rather rape a woman than have her let him in(past always comes back to haunt), the guy who shot him on the danforth should have hit him in his little nut's. All raper's need to be castrated.

  • i agree...they all shuld be castrated

  • this brings me back like 10 years.. Wow.

  • IME is fucking amazing, I just wish they didnt change their sound so much. DIG is the greatest album of all time.

  • 38,180

  • Man I grow up to this when i was in jr high and this band was the shit...it would be cool if they had a reunion....I'd would so go see then live

  • Awesome song, raw, visceral, anticipatory, explosive rock. Incredible song to play live.

  • Did you get a new dictionary or something?

  • HAHAHA! Legit LOL at that. Good show old bean.

  • @herehere14 he might be drunk....

  • sellout!?

    fuck you pal..

you hear anything off of The Quicksilver meat dream?

    Psychadelic at it's best.

  • yeah but still man, u gotta admit. if you were with these guys from the beginning and DIG was the first time you heard IME, and u liked it as much as I did, then u gotta be a little pissed that they changed their sound so much.

  • Seriously, BlueGreenOrange and the Quicksilver Meat Dream are just as good

  • The fact that the video is crap or sub-par at best may be effecting your judgment. The song still kicks ass

  • I won't tell you off like everyone else did, but man you are way off with the sell-out remark. This is without a doubt their most pop song. BlueGreenOrange is a masterpiece.

  • this is from the sceney and fish... i recomend you that album a lot. I understand your madness for them image, but that's just it, image. They're honest musicians, still amazing and keeping better and better.

  • lol , another great Canuck band 54-40,moist,etc great bands

  • this will probably be lucky to hit 50k views, while tons of garbage will get millions.

  • EXACTLY! Wtf is wrong with people???

  • fucken aswesome music, dam you Canadian people have better music from us.

  • @burtman12 Absolutely. Always have.

  • @burtman12

canada has awesome musicians, not counting justin beiber in that.

  • @burtman12 damn straight :D

  • what an awesome song from way back in the day

  • i like the chick in green top

  • This is interesting stuff, i dont mind it, the singers voice is a bit nasilly though.

  • i love this shitttt

  • mmm random red head.. haha yummy :)

  • lol i dont know how you hear that.

scenery and fish, one of the best albums ive ever listened to.

  • i always thought he said "i'm out of money, that was what they said" and i thought it was all about his ex fucking him over by taking his money or something... looked up the lyrics, and i guess not lol. still though, if you think about it that way the song is cool and it kinda fits.

  • I want to add that IME's guitar and percussion was brilliant, with or without Edwin. There is no band out there that is anywhere near to how good IME was. Maybe one day they'll do a "farewell" tour ...

As for fame, IME were too good and way too ahead of the times for the average Joe to comprehend and enjoy. Since their music only gets better and better with time, IME's staying power reveals just how amazing they really were.

  • Yep. Edwin and Jag are extremely delicious eye candy. But that's not why I fell in love with IME. I instantly fell in love with their music. It filled a void in my soul.

I think Edwin brought a sensitivity and three dimensionality to the band. His voice seduced me into listening to IME long before I knew what he looked like.

Edwin's voice has depth and vulnerability. Brian doesn't have that magic going on, although he is an awesome singer.

  • I love colour saturation and the quality of their videos.

    *****/5

  • Judge this... I come from Jag and Chris's hometown and know people who know who....Many people are quick to judge comments for actually what they weigh. I still think for Brian to be put in front of the band, they had the confidence to do so. They had good tunes with Brian but my personal taste( key word personal) was with Edwin.

  • Great song!! I love Edwin!!

  • IME sucks ass with out Edwin, like come on just listen to the music, the new IME suckxxx, i listened to it once, and never agian, its just crap

  • Lol well actually I ran the website for about 5 years, dealt with them all personally at least monthly.

Love the quick to judge part of your comment tho. irony always bites you in the ass.

  • i liked this song a lot more before i saw the video... can you say 90's much ?? lol that guy is hella fugly too.

  • come on man it dont get any better than that

  • ok any 1 that thinks that IME is better with there no singer, your on crack lol, like come on he sounds ok , but theres no sound like this album

  • so much great songs on this album :D

  • Edwin with IME was a much better match for a destinctive sound than Brian. Brian is a good singer but IME changed their vibe to go with Brians vocals. IME had a great sound going, yet Edwin's ego had to get in the way....he is still cool though...

  • oh yeah Edwins realy cool bartending for a crummy wage in downtown TO. He's sooo cool

  • Who cares what he's doin now. He actually owns a bar, not bartending for a crummy wage. Besides, he has enough money he can do whatever he wants.

  • I could write a book on what actually happened. You're half right. But it doesn't matter. Whether IME likes it or not, or justifies it however they want, IME failed without Edwin. Was he a prick? yes. Did Jag have to splice together syllables to make "Dig" sound good? Yes.

    Was IME anything without Edwin?...

    You decide.

  • Quicksilver Meat Dream is my favourite album ever :P

  • edwin

  • i wonder if i mother earth is still going?

  • They're long dead. Long story. That's all i have to say on the matter.

  • That's all that needs to be said.

The band members have mostly gone on to other things. Most notably: Edwin.

  • Why did this band break up and get that other annoying singer. They were so amazing with Edwin. The other singer they got after Edwin just looked like he had cramps or something when he was singing or he was making faces at people on purpose. Either way

  • fuck i love this song. Old school shit edwin kicks ass regardless of the reasons he left the band his shit was good then and was good after he left too. mad respect.

  • you know i've been looking for this video on limewire for the past 4 years now, i was wondering if you could put it for download on limewire please, because i really love i mother earth, and pleasse send me a meassge, thank you.

  • I guess I'm the only one who thinks Edwins first solo album was better than the first post-Edwin IME album?

  • love this song. i quoted it in my grad writeup lol

  • well I even sent an email to the band years and years ago, just when edwin left.. and the band answered me that he loooved the celebricity life style and he wanted to be solo.. in so many words, they meant he wanted all the attention, so he became solo.

And edwin's album was not country!

  • actually edwin left cause he did nothing in the band, he had no say in lyrics or anything, he was just told to sing

  • Man do i ever miss this great band. I really do wish they were still together.. Makes me sad to think about it

  • holy overreaction, haha, anyways, didn't edwin just do some lighter stuff, i don't remember anything about country/folk, i dunno maybe i'm uninformed

  • it's too bad Edwin thought he was bigger than the band. he needed them more than he knew at the time. it's pretty obvious he knows that now. :|

  • anyone who goes into counry/folk does not think they are better then their band, he did this because tahts what he wanted to do you stupid mother fucking faggot

  • heh... well okay call me a "stupid mother fucking faggot" if you're taking it that seriously.... but in all honesty, i doubt even you would say what he did in IME is better than what he did after he left... pretty obvious...

other than that... calm down. it's music. :P

  • great song

  • just search for edwin and you'll find his solo videos. I just watched his video for "Alive"

  • man makes me cry bring backs memories of how great music was back then

  • Jag/Christian are managing & producing a Toronto based band called 'dodger' Hard Rock/reggae outfit. Great band. Try and track'em down.

  • Thanks for putting this up~

  • Love IME....what the hell is new with them anyways!? I can't find any news on them, and their website is shut down :-(

  • Brian's solo, Bruce is in the Blue Man Group and Chris and Jag are producing/managing last I heard

  • Can't we just pretend Brian doesn't exist?
