@Debatewithme Fed hasn't reduced the money supply, significantly, since the great depression. It is doubtful that they will ever let deflation happen, after what happened to Japan in their lost decade. The Fed's policy has been to inflated the dollar enough so that in a recession we won't dip into deflation.
Yet deflation is exactly what is going to happen, if we switch to a fixed money supply i.e. the gold standard. The population will continue to increase and with a fixed supply we will start to hold less and less money, causing deflation.

Tactical voting is a defect of a bad voting system. I talked about this with one republican I knew and he agreed. Your voting system supports those in power. A better system would be instant-runoff voting or single transferable vote system (where you need to vote multiple candidates). You can google them up, they're much better since you don't have to think whos going to win when you vote. But most likely those in power don't like to change the voting system because it favors them.
Schiff would have destroyed the elitist status quo which the mainstream media is also part of and therefore they did their best to ignore Schiff and promote McMahon and Simmons. However, I am sure Schiff has gained a lot of experience from this campaign and when his name recognisition went from 2% to 50%, then I do not see is as even a slight possibility he could even if he would had to compete with another crazy billionaire.

I was elected to office in a district nearby Schiff back in the 1980s, most of the people who vote in Fairfield County don't watch the political and financial media. If Schiff really wanted to win the election, he has to get out of his office and campaign face to face with the electors. YouTube videos work nationwide, but are not enough to win in his local district.
Also, how do we trust Schiff's economic policy recommendations are not being hedged by him for his own financial benefit?

The fact is, the US is not around today. The USA became the USSA in 1913. There is exactly ZERO chance to realize any degree of honesty, liberty, ethics, justice or individualism without an all-out, no-holds-barred revolution ala 1776.

Being a New Hampshire resident, I can honestly say that I was more concerned with the Connecticut Senate race than my own state's. I'm truly disgruntled by the outcome. The citizens of Connecticut have made a crucial mistake, and they will recognize that as time passes.

I think running on the Republican platform might have been a mistake. I guarantee that you were more popular with Independents who are unable to vote in a Republican primary in Connecticut. Even if you're not in the driver's seat, your knowledge could help steer this country in the right direction. Before watching this vid, I came here thinking of a list of reasons why your campaign was not a waste, but you already know that. You may have lost, but you are a winner in my book and I thank you for spending your money and time and effort on this race. In listening to your interviews, I finally got to hear your opinions on non-economic issues, and your answers were so wonderful, clear, logical, and blunt that you should be considered one of the great libertarian communicators.

@Evision5 Ive been in this State for a long time but lately..CT is a crumbling mess..we have the worst of all politicians..and business can be a joke..the middle class has been dragged into moron-ness..the children are living in a dream world..and have little care for community..
If you enjoy the woods..and like finding your escape in the Arts..I guess Connecticut has some thing to still offer..

I saw the percentages, 49% Linda, 28% Rob and 23% Peter. Makes me wonder if Linda somehow persuaded Rob Simmons to revive his campaign just to take the votes away from you.
And I really wish Linda McMahon had been called out for missing the debates...It was 100% a tactical move on her part to skip them, because she knew she'd get stomped and you would keep gaining support.

Your only big error was not starting the phone banking A LOT earlier. Your finish was fantastic but your start and middle were horrible. With couple of hundred thousand more calls you'd probably have a better chance. Next time forget about other staff, just hire an army of callers and pay people to put yard signs and so something controversial to warant a national media exposure. In other words start thinking and acting outside the box...

Now, if you really want to be a Senator, spend the next couple years coming up with a positive solution that provides hope and desire, not save and gloom and doom.

A lot of us have learned the hard way trying to wake up family and friends and the reality is that maybe 20% can face the hard truth, the rest would rather be lied to.
However, as you point out, she won because she out spent the campaign.
Let's hope that the high price inflation that's in pipe doesn't wipe the little bit of money available for such future campaigns.

The fact is, the US is not around today. The USA became the USSA in 1913. There is exactly ZERO chance to realize any degree of honesty, liberty, ethics, justice or individualism without an all-out, no-holds-barred revolution ala 1776.
Frankly, as much as I admire Ron Paul, I do not even believe him being elected president in 2012 could restore the USSA. He is no where near aggressive enough to totally sanitize the system, which is the only hope.

Being a New Hampshire resident, I can honestly say that I was more concerned with the Connecticut Senate race than my own state's. I'm truly disgruntled by the outcome. The citizens of Connecticut have made a crucial mistake, and they will recognize that as time passes.

I think running on the Republican platform might have been a mistake. I guarantee that you were more popular with Independents who are unable to vote in a Republican primary in Connecticut. I hope (& pray) that was the case. It is a shame, b/c your economical policy is more conservative than almost any Republican candidate that I've seen in my lifetime. I like how positive you are, but this makes me more cynical. Media, elitist, corruption, and others apparently runs rampant here....

This may sound kind of perverse, but have you considered offering yourself as an economic adviser for Linda McMahon? Even if you're not in the driver's seat, your knowledge could help steer this country in the right direction. Plus it would put you in a position to make contacts and gain favors with the Republican establishment, which may come in useful for 2012.

Before watching this vid, I came here thinking of a list of reasons why your campaign was not a waste, but you already know that. You may have lost, but you are a winner in my book and I thank you for spending your money and time and effort on this race. In listening to your interviews, I finally got to hear your opinions on non-economic issues, and your answers were so wonderful, clear, logical, and blunt that you should be considered one of the great libertarian communicators.

I would have loved to see Peter win, but the idea of changing things from the inside isn't very realistic - we're too far gone. American politics is absolutely dominated by the Rockefeller controlled Council of Foreign Relations, aka the "secret government". Sister organization of the British Royal Institute of Foreign affairs, outer circle of secret societies formed by Cecil Rhodes.
Rockefeller and his buddies run the show, theres nothing Peter or anyone else can do about it.

Peter, you're just 'before your time'. That's all. Things haven't gotten bad enough for the American people to want to do something about it. That's usually the way it works. Our own Declaration of Independence says it quite clearly: " all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed." Apparently, we haven't suffered enough, unfortunately.
