All I said was simply stating the fact that ever since 2008 LeBron James has been a more effective player than Kobe Bryant. Nothing more or less. Deal with it. Like I said, I'm not a fan of his, in fact I wish best of luck to Dallas. They play very harmonic and fundamentally sound and Dirk is probably the best shooting big guy ever + he is still a down to earth, humble guy.
And don't act like Bryant is a saint. He openly demanded a trade after Shaq left and got Gasol in return

All I did was reply to the comparison with LeBron James decisions.
BOTH Bryant and James demanded trades in their careers, the difference is just that James actually GOT TRADED. Nothing more, nothing less. Imagine if the Lakers gave up Bryant back then... would people hate on him too? I don't think so.

From a neutral point of view. I think Lebron is better than Kobe. Yes, you may say Kobe has more rings but Lebron has years and years to his, just putting that into an arguement is really quite laughable. And let's just take this season for instance, Lebron has destroyed Kobe in the stats department and i've seen him pull out some of the most amazing shots i've ever seen. Kobe is getting older and is past his peak, i just think at the end of both their careers Lebron would have steamed past Kobe

@Ukrazian Ive seen Kobe hit double teamed even triple teamed fadaway shots on a regular basis at times. Since u brought stats Oscar Roberson came to mind. This guy averaged a triple double for the entire season. yet not many people even know who he is. I say this to say stats don't always measure greatness. If Kobe didn't have rings the general argument would be the same.

You can look at the stats all you want, but every time they go one on one on the court kobe prevails majority of the time. It's a team game, so wins will be wins. But do any of his stats matter when the season hits june and the trophy is being held by the Finals MVP?

Yes, just as you metioned... it's a team game.
Accordingly you will have to acknowledge that except for the 02/03 season (NOT the playoffs!) and the 09 playoffs (where Kobe took the offense), he NEVER was the main factor in said team. It was Shaq and Gasol. They constantly contributed more win shares in BOTH offense and defense than Kobe, which effectively makes them the #1 in LA.
I'm not a LeBron fanboy. They're BOTH overhyped media kids.
But Kobe is definitely overrated in his role
