Absolutely a public event. Go to the nasa pro racing website and select the NorCal region to see the schedule for 2011. I think it is $10 admission for the whole weekend. This is just amateur club racing, so you can wander through the pits, talk to all the racers, walk out around the whole track and view from any corner... Come out to an Infineon event and check it out!
Thanks. The LS1 is totally stock, but the free flowing intake and exhaust probably allow it to put down something in the 330-340 range. I'm going to put it on the chassis dyno in October. I'll post some video of that.
Awesome Car! Great driving! This video had me on the edge of my seat for all 12 minutes! I liked hearing the radio chatter too. How much power is that LS1 putting down? It sounds so sweet.
Seldom are on-board videos actually exciting, but this is the exception.
