i just stuck a load of generic flat beats thru the filter in and smashed 'em to vcf smithereens..anyone who doesn't want one of these has no imagination.
Does it have the facility to attach a mic and record external sounds that u can then manipulate? sorry if this is an obvious question, im a synth noob. never owned one before but seriously considering buying one of these after stumbling across these videos
if it just had a Attack/Decay envelope (or note sync on the LFO) and a midi input to trigger it, it would be cranking. (and a noise generator for drums).
Product demonstrators suck showcasing the monotron. I don't usually like this guy Rich Formidoni and his demos. This time, though, he did a good job including examples with musical intention. Well done.
The only thing I can think of that could really improve this is if it had more than one shape.

@dannycheesums it looks like at the back of the monotron there are areas to plug in for recording

@Biopharmer The LFO does retrigger every time you touch the ribbon, so if you set the rate very low, it acts as a simple envelope with a fast attack.
