Amuhiko and Amuto are my to favorite couples ^^ mostly Amuhiko though. I know most people like Rimahiko but If you think about it, I'm pretty sure he said in one episode that theres someone that he's fond of and would like to CONTINUE keep watch over *coughcoughAMUcoughcough* If you think about it, It's actually a really cute couple ever since he has those character changes with Rythm, that make him a straightfowrd guy, like at 3:27 was a cute Amuhiko moment ^^

To answer your question I guess it's due to the fact that nadeshiko was a dude and in one of the episodes he said he needed to seem like a girl and to act like one he had to keep his boy side at rest and he wanted to do what he wanted to do (example:basketball, jump as high as he wants,soccer etc.)so that would mean to be more calm and girl like.
