  • I think I spotted who the new guy is...

  • Didn't plant his feet and prepare for the lines back pressure .

  • maybe he turned it on by accident and didnt know it! accidents happen though :P

  • what a dumb ass... him for not knowing to lean into it and not knowing how to use a hose and second for his second to not back him up and hold behind him.

  • if that was my dept.

    Guy who fell: ouch! Fucker..

Back up guy: you alright bub?

    Fall guy:yeah..

    Back up guy:you sure?

    Fall guy: yup positive

Back up guy: Ahahahahahahahaha!! Wear your chin strap dumbass! Hahahaha

  • do people just not strap their helmets anymore?

  • Those shits are powerful

  • haha it happens to the best of us lol

  • probie

  • it takes a pretty big guy to handle a 2 1/2" line, he opened it alittle prematurely before his partner had the line also, however he did an excellent job at shutting off the line b4 he hit the ground good save. As for the pride im sure he laughed about it at the station we had a probie open one threw his ass on the ground with the line still open he decided he wont do that again since 3 firefighters tackled him and the line lol Stay Safe brothers

    Lt FF/EMT MCFPD

  • I saw that coming, but at least he turned it off right away. This happened to me during ventilation drills but fortunately there was a wall five feet behind me.

  • awww...poor guy i really feel bad for him

  • That was to cute, lol

  • Is that a 2 1/2 inch hose?

  • He needs to spend more time in the gym.

  • ahh that must of really hurt

  • hahah... thats some embarrasing shit!!!

  • This happened to me in Fire Explorers. I was embarrassed. Mostly cause everyone started laughing. It was my first day too. It happens.

  • that sux, some one left that bail open. out of all those hand lines he had to pick up a 2 1/2" , alot of presure behind that. thats some luck.

  • lol, OOPS!!! I think all of us firefighters have had this happen before. Nothing hurts more than one's pride. LOL

  • it looks like the line wasent primed, had air lock then opened up

  • Well ... he started to grab his partner ... just a little to late lol.

  • I think, that firefighter thought his partner grab hold the line to help him when he didn't yet. To hold a 2 1/2" charge line, over 125 psi, there is no way he can do it along, that's why when he open the nozzle he thought his partner had it to.

  • HA! i live there

  • nice rebound i think is pride is a lil hurt hope hes ok tho

  • If the bale is open...water comes out! Check it before you tell the engineer to charge the line. But, yeah, I hope the only thing wounded here was a little pride. Nice rebound though!

  • Had to have been Snyder. Born to break, not to extinguish.

  • ROCK STEELE footage is better than LIVE. Dude, 2500 plus views... I'm glad I contributed to getting this on the web quickly!

  • Thanks Cami, a new personal best on views. Thanks for your help, we make a great team.

  • just a little to much pressure

  • No wonder we have to have "Basic Hose Handling" skills at OSET. Nozzle reaction? Ever heard of it?

  • they call me the fireman,... thats my name...

  • Glad Darryl didn't get hurt!

  • loos like his bale was open when it got charged

  • Nice ride Sasquatch, time to get better backup and less coil!

  • isn't that a Crossfit workout-open and close the 2 1/2" 20x for time?

  • Oh my gosh, I hope he's okay! Quick, somebody kiss his owie (I'm volunteering). Thanks for doing the dangerous and heroic job that you do!
