The EU has all the political morality & understanding of integrity, democracy & the votes of the people as does Mugabe in Zimbabwe - praise be they do not yet have the confidence to act with the same brutality in their nacent Police State. One has to wonder, in this surveillance, bureaucratic controlled supra national zone, how long before its own Gullags are brought into being in this burgeoning open prison with its denial of democracy.

Wow Helen, you didn't put a whole lot of thought into this did you. The EU might have had a lot fo benefits, but voting for the Lisbon Treaty is not a vote on staying in the EU. Not everything that comes from Brussels should be accepted blindly. Thankfully we rejected the Treaty and it's dodgy conditions of militarism, privatisation and erosion of democracy and accountability.
