  • Awesome! But just one thing... George picked the notes that went along with the vocals during the verse. Every other part is spot on! =) Cheers!

  • Nice.

  • Great melody there heading into the last chorus? Did you improvise that?

  • How Did You Get All these GUITARS!!!!!????? Ill be fortunate enough to afford a chinese fender......

  • that was absolutely wonderful!!!

yeah, I've used the Thomastiks, too on my Rick 4003 and 355, they are great strings for sure.

  • wowww awesomee!!

  • all your covers are cool, you play really good.when I watch people like you I think I can't play at all

  • Thats the recording with Pete Best drumming .

  • im gettin that gretsch i cant wait its beautiful

  • You are excellent!!

  • nice!

  • well they were the only strings you could get in the UK up to like '64 or '65 so all the great bands from that time and place must have used them

  • DUDE Nnice gutar ove the black finish looks like it came straght out of the store

  • Dude. Youre badass. You should Teah this song.

  • Hi, im a huge beatles fan..., I want to buy a gretsch guiitar, but i can only afford one! Which do you think would be the most versatile to do most beatles covers, from sheik of araby to till there was you... (just picked two non lennon-macca, but mere coincidence)

thanks, youre one hell of a good guitarist! and a ¨real¨ beatles fan

  • Great job man!

  • You look like my brother. Especially on profile. It is uncanny!!!

  • Sure a real pleasure to listen to you.

  • wish i had that guitar but unfortunately i can't even find one

  • Your playing along to the version that Pete Best played on .

  • nice!

  • DAMN! the duo jet is EXPENSIVE AS FUCK! nice cover btw.

  • You are TOO good

  • good one please pass me the tabs

  • Is this rhythm guitar or Lead? because the lead isn't like that. good cover anyway. 5/5.

  • Nice job.

I have a 1958 duo jet and a new G6128t-tvp and nothing can beat the "Great Gretsch sound".

    Keep rockin

  • What strings do you use?

  • @WhiizzKiidd long skinny ones :)

  • really good spot on!

    well done

  • Wow, thats impressive, man! You ve got all chronological George`s guitars! Do also have SG, Rosewood tele and a cherry Les Paul?

  • @individrus He does have an SG lol. It's a standard.

  • @individrus he also need the gretsch tennessean

  • @individrus if he had that les paul i would bow down to him

  • Where did you buy the guitar

  • The Beatles used Pyramid flat strings on their guitars. Actually when I bought my Rickenbacker 325 it came originally with those strings like in the past. John and George used Pyramid strings on their guitars, except on the Gibson J 160 E

  • Only up until around '65 or so, and that's because Epstein got them an endorsement deal for free strings.

During the HELP sessions they switched to round-wound strings, and the rest as they say, is history.

  • @ADPFUCKER

John used Thomastik - Infield 12's on his J-160E:)

  • @hendrixdude67 That's not what i've heard. Where did you get that information?

    Thanks..

  • do you know the gauge they used

  • what strings did he use on that?

  • Fuk. How did you figure out all those diminshed and suspended chords? Frik me if I could ever figure this one out.

  • Wow ! That was a perfect rendition, which was complemented by your attention to every guitar detail of this Lennon classic.

  • you have some sweet guitars

  • Who makes flatwound strings and don't you have to setup the guitars intonation to accomodate the new strings? ---Please Please Me --excellent. Thanks for teaching me that one too! The opening notes remind me of what is used in "She loves you"

  • why don't you use flatwounds ?

  • I agree!!!! a 100% Flatwounds are the way to go. Trust me!

John Lennon use something like 10 or 11 gauge flatwounds... ask any of the tribute band out there now... they use FLATWOUNDS!!!!! =)

    Cheers

  • Since this recording, I've strung up both my Duo Jet and Country Gentleman with Thomastik-Infeld flatwounds..

They are honestly the greatest strings you could put on a Gretsch. I gave Pyramids a go, but didn't like the gauge differential that came in the pack of .10's... And I got a dead D string, which wasn't cool.

  • @Scugs

Judging from photos of 1962 and 1963, Harrison's 6128 was strung with heavy gauge roundwounds with a wound 3rd. It's his 6122 that was strung with flatwounds.

  • nice nice!!! excellent play!

PS please make CRY FOR A SHADOW

  • Very accurate and the guitar / amp combo sounds awesome.

  • No puedo creer que Harrison hiciera algo complejamente simple!

  • asi es! tan simples y armoniosas! SALUDOS
