Basically a dmg is like a zip, and dragging the app into the app folder "installs it" in the exact same way installing programs that are downloaded in zip files works in windows.
It's just a shame more windows programs don't offer this method of install. But quite a lot do if you look around on the download page.

it easy to install and uninstall.if people didn`t not know how to do this.this is great video for new mac newbies.if you the first time from pc switch to mac.
