Thanks for the help. Yeah, my guy doesn't have quite the same conformation/movement. I'm not complaining because I didn't pay the premium price and he has a super temperament that I wouldn't trade for anything. But I have to learn how to be more creative with this kind of thing.
It depends a little on shoulder conformation. Some like Vingador, are a bit more free by nature in shoulders. Others you must create it; try to teach him "slower bigger". Ask him for a big forward trot and if he rushes, bring him back. then go again and big rewards for big slow strides if you get even a few...etc..
Hey I have a relative of this horse. My horse's father is Dragao II. My guy is shorter and I'm guessing a little smaller, probably more bullfighting type. Can I ask you what you worked on that helped you get such nice mediums? I'm working on it right now and it's very hard for me and him not to rush.
