Jimmy Hendrix was more smooth and mellow with the cover of Hey Joe! Michael Pitt does a gritter and a gut level rawness to his cover! I love this film for its honesty and stark portrayal of all the characters raw emotions! I have one minor problem with film that the directors or producers choice not bring out the homosexual relationship between the character Theo had Michael Pitts' character had in the best selling book, "The Dreamers" which was based on a true story! *****+

Like this film? Then I reccommend Ma Mere. it's got Louis Garrel in and runs on the very same decadent charm and taboo-busting shock factor. Not quite as stylish as the dreamers, but still a good film in its own right.
