I totally understand what you mean about people sniping in other games since their release, and cod4 definitely isnt the first game out there to make sniping well known. @TheBlackRaveSF but what you don't understand is that the game didn't introduce anything that changed the mechanics of sniping. The game Quake I mentioned earlier actually set the foundation of the game engine used in Call of Duty. That engine was made into cod1, which was changed slightly into cod2 (home to one of the most famous PC snipers, eSuba luckeR), into cod3 which is when Activision sold out on PC, which was adapted further into CoD4. That's why this, and cod, isn't revolutionary.

@casey12141 yeah i guess if you take it into that perspective he didnt influence much, and he admits that he didn't start that much that hadn't been done before. i think the reason why this is impressive though is because most of the cod4 community was isolated from a lot of other games so they had never seen stuff like this.

yeah you're definitely right on that. He isn't the greatest that lived, but he made it popular and that's what is important when you get down to it. There's a reason most of the cod community doesn't talk or know about luckeR and other giants haha, and that's because people like him didn't reach the same amount of people that grizz did.

If any of you can actually bow down to someone making a no-scope montage, make one yourself. It's not that hard. No matter how good you are at CoD. If you want to show that you have some skill, make a quickscope montage. It's unrealistic, but at least it's skilful.
