i have both (iphone and htc touch), and you are wrong on some,

1 - wrong, yes, you can unlock the iphone 3g

2 - correct.

3 - correct, but uses google maps which is good enough

4 - wrong, you can use any gsm sim card in the world, i use mine in el salvador with no problems.

5 - wrong, once jailbroken, you can change just about anything on the iphone including startup sounds, themes, etc.

6 - wrong, not sure if skype is available for it, but you can use fring, which supports skype.

9 - correct, no pocket office but there are programs like it.

i love both phones, only reason i bought the htc touch is because it is the only CDMA (sprint) phone that competes with the iphone.

you even set an mp3 ringtone without hacking and smacking the iphone...you have to sync your music through itunes, the battery is non-removable, and there is no memory card slot, video recording or copy and paste function..

iphone is just an ipod..it cannot be compared with the HTC Touch Pro!

i just got it it's awesome only bad thing on it is you get greasy fingers on the screen. My recommendation is wash you fingers a lot, if you have a job in kitchen or you work with greasy things like auto mechanic don't buy it.

Love the design and the touch flow interface they've used.

UMM what? Since when is this better than multi-touch.. Get a grip, you're obviously not sane. Multi-touch is the most advanced and intuitive touch-screen UI on the market.

Also iPhone has a 3.5" touch screen protected by glass so it won't break, and it uses the electricity in your fingers instead of pressure-sensitivity, which makes you more likely to push hard and break the shit quality screen on the Diamond.

Ummm? Sorry but the only thing iphone has that's better than the diamond is bigger screen... Even then, the diamond's screen has VGA quality with dedicated graphics chip... Diamond also sports a WAY better camera with more features... Iphone's camera is just point and shoot with no modes, no nothing. Other than that, whatever Iphone has, diamond has. Period.

diamond has a app store.... the whole web.. install anything you like such as a little program called "TOMTOM NaVIGATOR" you may have heard of it. plays more music and video formats.. NOT limited to apples own which must sync via itunes. i bet you apple lovers this the mac is better than win based PC?
