You can download youtube videos with certain programs, I managed to open this one up with an editing software and the object at 1:09 appears to be a bird, or more specifically a sea-gull. You can clearly see the shape of its wings and its head, as well as the darker colors near the end of its wings.

My Canon will show the same thing; an out-of-focus distant object with the 24X zoom looks un-identifiable.

That, coupled with a beyond-the horizon travel of light via an 'inversion' an a object may be seen to have been in nearly one place for longer than usual for an aircraft.

The shooter of this was in the right place at the right time, with a camcorder. That's the most important thing.

Couple of technical points though.

Even cheap camcorders can be used with a tripod (much less shakey cam).

Take the camera out of auto-focus and lock it on infinity. (no more in and out of focus)

Spend the money and get a tele extender.

(about $50 will make your aircraft/ufo 2 times as big)

Its a shame the focus is out. It looks genuine by watching its movements. The way its flickering means its not a uniform shape..probably a very small disc. The flickering probably isnt its energy field as they can usualy only show at night. Id guess genuine UFO..that doenst mean alien. Could be a remote controlled disc from maplin. Not enough resolution to make out any shape. Using high zoom settings will make a small bright source appear to be disc shaped. This is caused by the aperture constricting in the lens and it is the shape of the aperture that you are seeing, not the object. Could have been a full blown ufo, but without better quality, classification; unknown.
