The rings are a result of a lack of sleep plus Shukaku's infleunce. Sort of like the lines on Naruto's face from Ninetails's influence. Gaara has marks around his eyes instead becuase Shukaku is supposed to be a raccoon.

You had some great footage of Gaara, but the song doesn't really fit in with the clips. Also, yes- the ending seemed rushed. Basically after you showed Gaara form the kanji on his forehead, you just stuck the rest of the song to a huge clip of Gaara fighting Kimimaro. I think for future videos you should consider if the song really fits the character or clips you're using. Don't use a love song and put up a fight, unless the fight is for the person they love is one example.

They're both what they call "tailed beast" (at least in the scanlations I've read). They're chakkra monsters and there's 9 of them in total. Gaara's (Shukaku? I think that's the name, don't take that to the bank though) is the One tail, Kyuubi's the Nine tails.

His ability to control sand on his own, however, was just something that he grew accustomed to considering his demon's powers. I believe the manga also said that the rings around his eyes were from some crazy lack of sleep or something, but I'm not sure... Sounds a bit far-fetched to me... Anyway, great song nor amv. Kudos.

Since nobody clearly has read the manga... The protection of sand was a curse given to him by his mother for the pain she endured during his birth. It is not a Jinchuriki as ThodraN said.. Gaara IS/WAS a Jinchuriki (held a one tailed spirit).. Gaara does not control the sand, it is natural. In flashbacks he tries to cut himself and the sand does not let the knife through. Although, without chakra, I do not believe it will do anything.
