Looks like you either painted the wings or covered them. Which was it? Did you do reinforcements - e.g. wrapping with fibre tape or glassing? Any improvements or comments about energy retention?
Yes, I painted the wings with enamel after treating with the Multiplex Primer. I used the provided glass fibre re-inforcements. You have to make sure that you wet in the spars with the Multiplex cyano very well. Especially the spars. Read the instructions very carefully for that stage. This is an awesome model. My best model of 2008. Can't wait to see what Multiplex unveils in 2009.
Ok, man, I'm enjoying myself already with the Easyglider Pro. Was checking out the threads on RC groups on reinforcing the wings in addition to what was stated. I'm gunning for a 3 cell - 450 - 500 watt setup, monokoted wing eventually. It'll make it's first flight as a sloper first, though.
Does depend how you fly it. On a 3S2500 pack it'll fly for 6+ minutes if you thrash it around climbing, descending with a burst of throttle so you can hear the awesome noise of the air over the wing...but if you take it out on a nice day and climb and glide it'll stay up for 25+ minutes. It's a must have model but must be purchased with the Multiplex 'tuning' power set. Other 4S setups I have seen don't come close to my 3S setup
Have only flown the Blizzard in light wind so far but you will find other videos of pilots flying it in wind without much problem. Cularis can't handle much wind. There are 2 U shaped carbon spars that drop into pre-cut routes in the wing. Hardest part is the soldering of the extensions to the servos. No room for plugs in the wing. And MPX provide 3 metres of flexible rod that has to cut into sections and cyno'ed into channels all over the wing and fuselage. How much out of 10? Probably 20.
It's a whole different 'kettle of fish' as we say. This is quick and very agile. It's not scorching quick but if you've not flown composite hotliners or F5D models it'll be plenty quick enough...and for the money it can't be beat. It has good glide but with the tuning power setup and 4 servos it's not meant for catching thermals. Long slow double rolls down a long line or very tall loops or hot passes. As with most good hotliners has a nice wind rush sound on the fast pass. Awesome model.
mmm... seems to be between this and the Cularis then. How well does it handle the wind?? Has it got that carbon wing joining spar that runs along about 90% of the wing?
Tempting! what would you give it out of 10 for value for money?
OK, thanks.

Very nice landing, was that with spoilerons?
ddarkfly 6 months ago
@ddarkfly No. I never did bother with all that. Get the CG right and keep the wings level and you won't have a problem landing it.

First view and first comment;)
That flies nicely, considering getting one. looks fairly quick. could you compare this to the Cularis or Easyglider??
