  • I heard that the stop n swop feature was ACTUALLY COMPLETE when bk and bt were re-released on the xbox 360. I so want to know! But wait... where was that light blue egg? I've never seen that place b4. Cool vid btw. :)

  • in the haunted place,m i found an egg in the cellar and all i was trying to do was search for jinjos, as it ever happened to any of you?

  • for some reason, on the 360 verson, the mountain was already risen.

  • you forgot to show us how to get into te cave at the first one, i cant figure it out.

  • I read somewhere that all the 'stop and swop' items were to copy over saved games. ie. when you collect them the game freezes for a second (stop) and you are able to pull out the cartridge and insert a new cartridge (and swop).

  • does that weird song play everytime your in the same room as the egg?

  • tbh theres no difference in the games...except that you get to use the Stop N Swop Eggs on Banjo Tooie on XBOX and BK NNB...i have ALL the games and theres honestly NO difference other than that (as far as im aware of) and the graphics are spruced up JUST a tad idk why...and ive heard a rumor there might be ANOTHER Banjo Kazooie game...god help us all :/

  • wat i do after i finish da game

  • confirmed true in GT pop fiction

  • btw your link in the description doesen't work anymore

  • i even collected the ice key with the leviate cheat but i wonder that i can collect it. so that let me assume it actually should be collected without any cheat then i found this video. but why cant i use these items? there must be any sense by collecting them

  • @7OR573N There's no sense whatsoever to collecting them in the N64 version. It's plain pointless because it's an incomplete feature in the game, hence why it was dropped and can't be accomplished without cheating.

Thanks, I'll remove the link right away.

  • @Kafei2006 so do you know where i can find the codes for the items? i watched some videos but these codes probably only work on the x box version. there might be different codes

  • @7OR573N I find it hard that so many people CANT use google. Look at the description, Took me less than ten seconds to find that.

  • @Kafei2006 lol i got it. but they didnt work in my file where i had 100% including cheatos cheat codes.

  • someone can tell where i can use the eggs and the key

    ????????????

  • @perrodelacalle73 Banjo Tooie.

  • collecting the eggs and key with that sound.... sooo satisfying after the hell i went through on the n 64

  • lol 1 of the first vids i ever favorited on youtube ^^

  • it unlocks stuff in nut and bolts and banjo tooie

  • @legojoey1998 The xbox version has slipery controls and stuff but the only good thing which could make it better is stop and swop

  • i know what to do with the eggs. if you have banjo kazooie: nuts and bolts you can put the eggs and ice key in certain areas around the town in that game. i'm not sure what htey give you though

  • @crumblr Surely that's not what was planned back in the time of the N64 version. That's why I was saying we don't know what to do with them... in the N64 version. We don't know for sure what Rare originally planned, long before they changed it so it would work for XBLA.

  • @Kafei2006 if you buy banjo kazooie and banjo tooie on the xbl marketplace, you can collect the stop 'n' swop items in banjo-kazooie (but the cheats don't need to be used) and then use heggy to hatch the eggs and you get stuff. the ice key does what it usually does to get the megaglowbo. I only hatched one egg and it gave me a gamer picture

  • @sugar833 I know that. But that's not how it would have worked on N64, and that's my point. This video isn't about the XBLA stop n' swop, which everyone can get to work, but the N64 one, and how it would have worked. This is far more interesting stuff IMHO

  • @Kafei2006 Well, technically, Rare SAID they were going to implement XBLA Stop N Swop with the original N64 plan. This is a half-truth though...we find out that the original eggs which also showed up in Tooie do the same exact thing they did in the original version, but alas, we are still at a loss as to what exactly the red, cyan, and green eggs were for, since obviously, gamer pics, themes, and SNS2 didn't exist on the N64. The mystery continues...

  • 4:09 thats what she said

  • from what i remember from a rare interview (assuming they wernt lying) the eggs and key were to be used in tooie, tooie was going to be like a "sonic & knuckles" cart allowing you to plug banjo 1 on top, but nintendo wouldnt allow it.

  • Snacker smells tasty dinner, stay just there!

  • wow the game needs more sound lines

  • Im new in that game and i want to know how to open the door in the Gobi valley to got the Blue EGG and how you open the other door from when you start Gobi valley

  • Banjo it looks like you're wrong...

  • where is the last egg?

  • y did u kill the ugly shark first? snacker right? anyway it only takes 5 eggs to kill him for like 5 mins

  • I've got all the Stop 'N' Swop items, but would do they do anyway?? :S

  • Woah. Like what code did you use to get the ice key? I've gotten every other hidden item, but no code I have found allows me to penetrate the ice wall in Wozza's cave.

  • SnS will be used in the XBLA version of Banjo-Tooie AND in nuts and bolts. Just saying

  • you get special items in nuts and bolts

  • @legodude0580 yeah, i said they are in N64, but they don't do anything there, i think they used to, but in XBOX 360 arcade version, they actually do something

  • @legodude0580 no, XBOX 360 arcade, they are in the n64 game, but it is a broken feature... Like Kafei2006 said. The items in the arcade version are for Banjo nuts and bolts,

  • so this is not the N64 version? it only works on the 360??

  • @imwideup09 It IS the N64 version, but the item collecting part is just useless and does nothing because it's a broken feature

  • @Kafei2006 actually the only way u can do tha stop and swop on the N64 is to have certain games and a prototype N64.

  • and they put conker on diddy kong racing on 64 but its kiddy version not mitur one lol

  • is the yellow egg on the freezy peak to?

  • Great video! This game IS awesome! =D Click Clock Wood was the best level ever!!!

  • i found out if you put cheat codes on the xbox360 version it won't let you save anymore :(

  • wait at the end the music is the same music you here when you go to the naughty bear website

  • on tooie you find those eggs again in spiral mountain and give them to the chicken

  • Comment removed

  • Do you have to enter the codes at the sand castle for the eggs to appear on the 360 version?

  • I dont think so becausse I also have it on xbox 360

  • how did the ice vanish infront of the ice key? whenever i go there, the ice blocks me from getting to it. how would i be able to get inside like you did?

  • Put CHEAT NOW YOU CAN SEE A NICE ICE KEY WHICH YOU CAN HAVE FOR FREE in the Sandcastle floor. :]

  • sf island really used to piss me off... i always fell... but i got it :]

  • get it for xbox - ive already collected the pink egg with it :)

  • was the stop n swop on 64 pointless, was it all just for kazzooie/tooie then N&B on XBLA or is there actually something to do on the 64 version.. would love to know, someone reply asap!

  • @djthehomeslice The purpose of SnS was for the N64 in which case you would "transfer" the eggs you got in the first one to Banjo Tooie, the second one by pulling the game out while the power was on and putting the second game in. The old N64 models allowed for a 10 second window to do this without messing it up. But when Tooie came out, the new N64 models only allowed for a 1 second window and did mess up the system if you pulled the game out. So it was for N64, but never finished.

  • was wozzo the walrus the walrus boss you had to race in Diddy Kong Racing/

  • Might be... I never actually thought about it, but you may be right.

  • they look just alike except the one in diddy kong racing skin is darker and has a bowtie

  • Seeing that both Banjo and Tip Tup the Turtle were in Diddy Kong Racing and were used in the Banjo games, this walrus may also be the same.

I think i remember reading that Diddy Kong Racing was supposed to present new Rare characters that would all be later used in N64 games (Like Banjo, Tip Tup and Conker were) so it would make sense that the walrus made it into Banjo Kazooie for the same reason.

  • that makes sense

  • @Kafei2006 how did you get the closed doors opened?

  • god i loved this game

  • How do you make these egg's appear? I just found the treasure trove cove egg on accident... I just flew to the island and saw the cave is there a special code to make the egg's appear? Please tell me!

  • Go to Cheat cc. com and on the left side of the page click nintendo 64 and find Banjo-Kazooie. This website lists all the codes that are used on the sandcastle floor in Treasure Trove Cove to unlock all the Stop n Swop items. Be sure to enter cheat before doing the codes.

  • i have the same problem i found all those locations on the video but no egg apears i have all 100 puzzles pieces and all 900 notes all honeycombs everything just dont know why they wont appear when i go the there hideouts. also in the video when he go's to the main menu and shows you that he collected the eggs and key, in my game right when u first begin it, it will show that i already have it but makes no sense because i bearly getting out of banjos house when the game begins idk???

  • you have to type the codes in ffs. didn't you know that?

  • ok I understand now.

  • understandable

  • if u said this was made on the N64 version then how come I can see half the mouse at the top of the screen when u collect the green egg?

  • At that time i hadn't a video cature card on my PC so i couldn't record the video output of my actual N64. Then i replayed the entire N64 version of the game on an emulator on my PC and recorded it using a screen capture program.

  • But no AR codes or cheats other than those of the sand castle inside the game were used to access those eggs and ice key. There's nothing in this video that couldn't be achieved on a real N64.

  • Funny... i had never noticed the mouse ppointer was visible. But anyway... It doesn't change much to the fact that it's the N64 version, and NOT the the XBox 360 one. THAT was my point in insisting that it was the N64 version.

Plus the video is far less blurry when recorded on an emulator.

  • how do u get the island to rise i beat the game with all 100 jiggies and 900 notes but its still just a rock that says sharkfood island

  • When u get da eggs and key, i suppose u hav 2 get behind the picture of gruntilda (just ignore if u have done that:b)

  • i got dragon kazooie and i did not need the giant ice key

  • Well it seems to me that on the N64 version of Banjo Tooie, i needed the ice key to open a giant ice chest, that contained the mega (or giga i an't remember) glowbo, which was required to get dragon kazooie. Now maybe this was cahnged in the XBLA version, i wouldn't be able to tell, i don't have a 360.

  • no the door to the mega glowbo is still there still need ice key though and what i mean to say on my last comment that i got the ice key without having banjo and kazooie i and now i remember that my friend had the game and got them for me a long time ago

  • Of course you can get it without owning Banjo Kazooie, i didn't say that you had to own it. since the stop n swop feature did not happen on N64, Instead of taking it from BK to BT, they hid another ice key in BT (can't remember where it was though) which u used to get the mega glowbo.

  • i can tell you where the ice key is though its in the jinjo village inside of a icy mountain or blue mountain

  • i yeah i remember now, it's an icy cave on a cliff you get access to by climbing ivy, in the jinjo village, in the part where there's sand everywhere, and it's inside a Banjo Kazooie cartridge that you have to bash in order to take its contents (like with the colored eggs in fact).

That was a long time ago so i didn't remember it right off the bat :P.

  • Err no you don't access it by climbing ivy, there's a ledge you have to follow, you need the special move jamjars learns you in mayahem temple to reach it. I checked yesterday ;).

  • oh yea you need to get the ledge climbing ability in there as well when your inside the water fall to get blue egg

  • For anyone wondering. The Stop N Swap items get you new moves and Dragon Kazooie in Banjo-Tooie, but only on the XBLA version. Also, I heard you get some new vehicle parts in Nuts and Bolts.

  • That's what you did get in Banjo Tooie on N64 as well ... You got the bashing move (where Banjo grabs Kazooie out of his back pack and stomps the floor with it) and by using the ice key you could open a huge ice chest that contained the giga Glowbo, which could be used at Humba Wumba's Hut to change Kazooie to Dragon Kazooie. All this was already in the N64 Banjo Tooie so nothing new there. I Heard the was more to it on the XBLA version.

  • Ya but S "N" S II probobly wasn't there and Gamer Pics and Themes nver exsisted till 360

  • why an ice key??? why not fire or a normal gold key???

  • if its on the xbox arcade version ...you get a secret car item in banjo kazooie n&b...the pink egg gets you.........PINK FUZZY DICE!!!!

  • If you have BK : N&B you dont have to type in all the cheats, you can just go to the locations.

  • now that i remember about the "Ice Key," i remember playing tooie and UNLOCKING A VAULT WITH THE KEY. it was a long time ago and i hardly remember... yep, there was a vault. does that have to deal with the "Stop N' swoop?

  • Aparenly Rare had planned to make the Stop and Swop but cancelled it after Nintendo had informed them that it would ruin the Nintendo 64 console so the cancelled it but they couldn't get rid of some of it but the point is you can't Link data between the 2 games which means this is useless.

Reply 2 me and tell me what you think.

  • I'll reply to u via PM, cuz' it's a looong thing to explain and it would take quite a couple of comments to tell.

  • thanks for this, much help with the xbox version. Looks crazy seeing the b button picture, brings back memories :')

  • how do you get the hole in the mountain at 0:15 - 0:23?

    Please tell me!

  • you have to do the cheat for it...cant remeber the cheat tho :(

  • Hey, if u have a BK: N&B save file, do u have to type in the codes to get the eggs and the ice key?

  • nope.

  • We have some hope. I heard from a lot of people + Rare that once they release Banjo Tooie (in April) for the XBLA, if you have both games for the XBLA, the Stop n' Swop feature will finally be usable.

  • hey if u speed up the music where u find the stop and swap eggs it sounds like dk64 when u face a boss at snorf and torf

  • how the water gos away where you have to type the words?

  • lay eggs inside the bucket that's on ledge above the sand castle. if i remember correctly, its name is leaky (supposedly because he's leaking...) and you have to stop its leak using eggs. In case u don't remember, you can lay eggs (not spit !) by holding down the Z button and pressing C-Down.

  • nice dude

  • Thanks for the vid, I finally found what I've been looking for. 5/5 for sure.

  • the eggs look so awesome i got the first 3 but u just get shit stuff in nuts n bolts accept the fishy and fluffy dice

  • There are just things for show like dice, flags, disco balls, etc

  • I want that song so much

  • u can get em without cheats if u use the 360 version and have the nuts and bolts game in at the samwe time

  • once you have gotten the eggs what do they do to the game?

  • absolutely nothing. it was originally meant to be a way to trade data between the first and second games using a feature called "stop n' swop" but it turned out it could cause data damage so they got rid of the feature, but left the items.

  • No, they couldn't do Stop N Swop because after changes to N64 swapping the cartridges would be impossible, because on the old version, you'd have 10 seconds to change, while the new version only would give 1 second, so they had to scrap it................

  • that is another reason, not the only one.

  • oh, ok...didnt know your comment was true........

  • Ok I got a question, I know about all the stop n swop items on the xbox live version of banjo kazooie, and I know where to find them now, and I know they are used for some crapy items in nuts and bolts, but what i dont get is how you get the eggs onto nuts and bolts...I dont have a 360 yet so dont call me retarded or something for not knowing this...

  • Dunno either, cuz' i don't have a 360 either ... yet. And even when i get one i don't plan to get nuts and bolts because it's not truly a banjo kazooie anymore to me, and on top of that, to me, the stop n swop should have remained between BK and Banjo Tooie, nothing else.

But as far as the transfer of SnS items on 360 is concerned, i suppose it has something with either BK save file stored on the 360 which nuts and bolts may read, or though XBLA achievements telling nuts and bolts you have em

  • No. a meeting with Rare confirmed it is IMPOSSIBLE to get the ice key and the eggs. It was just part of the pictures and somehow it was imported into the game. if you want to get them(really...) you have to glitch the game. this means beat the game and do the extra part(too hard to explain) and it will say 101% completed. Then you can get them

  • First of all, when you get ur 360, you need to have a save file of nuts n bolts on your 360 before you can actually reach the eegs and ice key in the xbla banjo kazooie. Then when you get the items and the game saves, the next time you go into nuts n bolts you will automatically be shown where each item is. In N&B the stop n swop items will come in these little crates that you bring back to Mumbo's garage/workshop.

  • Ooh sharkfood island has cool music

  • If you play Nuts & Bolts then Banjo-Kazooie, all the areas are unlocked and there's no need to input the codes.

Just thought I'd put that out there.

  • srry i mean stop n swop i put stop and stop lol=)

  • when it comes out on the xbox live arcade if u collect all the stop n swop stuff (ice key and all eggs) u will unlock something in banjo kazooie nuts and bolts.Stop and stop will be real. atleast thats what i heard from a ton of people

  • Yes and apparently they give you car partssuck as fluffy dice etc .

  • I know they fucked with us!

  • what happens when u get the eggs and key wat do they do

  • it was so you could unlock stuff in banjo tooie, but they scraped it just be tooie came out

  • do u have to beat the game first?

  • not sure, but i did it after i beat the game though.

  • after them went in gruntis picture in the lair dumbass

  • That's a fake.

  • A strange thing is that the mad monster mansion wine case was open when i got to the level the very first time. i didnt need a code. there was no egg though, so it seriously confused me why victory music played and there was an empty pedestal.

  • what are this items for ¿?

  • It was a scrapped feature meant to link BK with BT by having the player complete tasks in Tootie to unlock items in Kazooie. The method they had for doing this was dangerous, though, and could potentially brick your console. In addition, the method was made impossible by an n64 hardware revision. Google it for more info, it's called "Stop and Swop" (intentionally spelled that way, that's what it's called)

  • This is where i found my first sns egg. Only 1 i have found though.

  • is sharkfood island a world? because i tried to fly to it and i landed in the water right next to it and the shark ate me.. where is the sandcastle?? and what are these worlds?? please let me know.. im only 10, lol

  • The sand castle is just what the name suggests : it's located not too far from sharkfood island in treasure trove cove (you must drain the water in order to input the codes inside, to do so, drop eggs inside leeky, the character located on the ledge above the sand castle). Inside the sand castle, input the codes found in the link that's in this video description, and you'll unlock access to sharkfood island and the other locations found in this video. Hope this helped.

  • Oh well all you have to do is go to treasuretrove cove and enter the password for the sharkfood island.

    Dylan

  • You didn't get the black egg in mumbo's mountain.

  • Cuz' the black egg is a mod, it's not really in the game, hackers MADE it appear by modifying the game code. have you seen, at least once the stop n swop screens with the eggs and ice key, having the black egg on it ? No. You know why ? cuz' the black egg wasn't ment to exist by the developpers. hackers replaced an existing item (a jigsaw piece i think) with a black egg to make you believe it exists, that's all.

  • what happens after u get all the eggs and the key?

  • Absolutely nothing. As far as i know there's no point in collecting them since the stop n swop is a broken feature. No one knows how they were supossed to be transfered to either Banjo Tooie or Donkey Kong 64. By swapping cartridges, yes, but where were we supposed to bring them, that i don't know.

  • lol

so its just piontless fun, and there is a donkey kong stop n swop i never knew that

  • It's unknown if it was meant to swop with DK64 and/or banjo tooie. Well, since the special ending in BK tells they're meant for banjo tooie, you can tell it was to be done with that game, but the eggs color match those of the characters bananas in DK64 and the words ICE KEY have been found by hackers in DK64. Find more on the subject at spiralmountain(dot)co(dot)uk

  • there is a ice door and i can not get the ice key

  • It won't let me put the codes in

  • how in the world do you open the door in the desert world?!?! the one where you find the blue egg?

  • You have to put in special codes in the sandcastle.

  • ok, once you get all 100 juggy's, and watch the end, go to the castle type SIS and gruntys sister will appear at mad monster mansion , she will tell you to find cheato who is flying in freeezey peaks. after all that backflip into grunty's enourmous portrait in her lair, thats what you do with em ,you need banjo tooie tho

  • Funny made up story lol.

  • lol it's fake eh? watch this vid Banjo-Kazooie: Stop N' Swop Revealed!

  • killa, you watch it again. read the updated description. it was an april fols day prank.

  • How did you do to get the ice key?Because I typed the code and the ice wall didn't opened.

  • after you entered the code, you must see the room with the ice key and the wall gone for a few seconds before being taken back to the sand castle. If not, you didn't type the code properly. I remember having trouble with this code because i thought there was a typo in it. The code is NOWYOUCANSEEANICEICEKEYWHICHYOUCANHAVEFORFREE which should be read "Now you can see a nice ice key which you can have for free" and not "Now you can see an ice ice key which you..."which i thought was a typo(2X ICE)

  • The one in Shark Bait Island was somewhat annoying for me. The rest were pretty easy. Before I entered those codes, I always wondered how to open that sealed door in Gobi Desert.

  • They ought to remake the first two BK games and leave the Stop 'n Swop in. That'd be cool, though I doubt it'll ever happen.

  • fuck

i only have the cyan eggs of mad monsters...

    ugh it cant be¡¡¡

  • You are able to get all the items without hacking, so why would you? GameShark is for gamers who suck too much to play the real way! Let me know if you agree! Also, i got all the codes, but some dont work for me, like the one for the cellar. What is that one exactly?

  • I wasn't using gameshark, i was also using the codes i found on the net. The one for the cellar was "DONTGOANDTELLHERABOUTTHESECRETINHERCELLAR" i think (didn't check, just used my memory ^^). Didn't you forget to input the "CHEAT" word right before inputting the code ?

  • oh, sorry, i was trying to tell everyone that you can get it without the gameshark. (like you did) and that you shouldnt use game shark. Sorry if i was unclear...

  • Sorry as well, i thought you were writing to me (the author) specifically. Hope the code was the right one.

  • I've gotten all these things but they're technically all useless rite?

  • rite ^^ !

  • I never found the item long time ago and I searched looooong time and never found... until I download the emulator and took the ice key with flying cheat. For the 6 eggs, I thought they have only 2 eggs. Very impressionant !!!!!! :O Lot of secrets with this game! ;) Hummm... but the secrets item, what can we do with this?!.....

  • you are awesome kafei2006 please give me the pasword please!! :)

  • they are to be found at a lot of places throughout the web, check on google. There are several codes (one per item)

  • thanks

  • wow!!! you are awesome you are the first in found the stomp n swop without the game shark amazing!!!!!

  • I wish i was the first one. I only used the passwords for the sand castle. ANd those passwords were found by the first ones who used hacking and hex edit to find them in the game memory. Not me. I do not claim to be the first one. Additionnaly, this video do not solve the Stop N Swop mystery because even though i fetched those items, i still do not know what to do with them :P. As for everyone in fact. If what Rare said is true, then those Eggs and Key can't be used anymore.

  • Ah, Stop n Swop... we may never know all of your mysteries...

  • The only thing that needs to be mentionned is that that those eggs and the ice key can't actually be used in any way because as far as everyone know and as Rare did say, Stop n Swop isn't complete BK. It's just a remaining beta feature which was dropped eventually and which wasn't supposed to be found by players.

  • Yes you can get them by unlocking the places that hold them. To unlock these places, just input cheat codes in the sand castle of treasure trove cove (such as NOWYOUCANSEEITONNABNUTSTABLE for instance). Find those cheat codes using Google. This video is not a fake.

  • arent those kind of cheats also used in Glover 64? cuz i remember my cousin doin cheats and after he accomplished these cheats i hears weird noises like a fart and a burp.

  • It's a classic fetaure to input cheat codes to unlock special things :P.

  • so THAT's how you get to the Captain's Cabin!
