Isnt this the movie where some guy kills this otter with a shovel or something? and towards the end, the main character sees another otter and thinks its Midge?
Well done !!! I saw the movie when I was wee boy. I recently rented the movie, and book, from a local library. My wife had never seen the movie. Even though it was years ago I still remembered the "death scene" and had to skip it for fear of crying.
The film was made in and around my HOME town of Oban, on the Western Highlands. (The pier scenes etc.). It wa also filmed in Easdale. The nice lady who plays the Dr's Assistant worked in Oban High School and was Mt Terrance T. Twatt's Secretary. (It was either Twat or Twatt). As you can imaging we used to tease him frequently. lol.
This is a great video. It captures the best scenes of the movie. I have the movie on dvd and I watch it atleast once a month. Thanks for uploading this great tribute video.
Hallo bogworthy Just found your video of one of my favourite Val Doonican songs. YOUR VIDEO IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST !! It is superb. So so brilliant. You've captured the best best bits from the film accompanied by the beautiful song. As I recall, Val D did not actually sing the song in the film itself? - not sure if it was at the end, or just as a separate song? Love your title and ending with the letters coming together. THANK YOU FOR POSTING! edgwaregirl57
I remember this song and the film, and it still brings tears to my eyes. Thanks for the post and although there were the inevitable tears, and sadness, it wasn´t all bad.
My favourite movie ever!!! Say it when I was a kid in 1969 and cried my eyes out for weeks.
