@grindmetalhead well i have done it that way too, but for the most part i record onto a tascam dp008 then upload the tracks to the computer from there to edit with my daw, right now i'm trying to get a workable tone out of my line 6 x3 but no luck so far, the ax3000g may not be as tone riched as the x3 but it's distortion definately tracks faster if you set up a wah before the distortion but keep it at the closed position
are you recording via the s/p dif output?

oh into a mixer and then to your computer? sorry to be a bother, I've just never been able to get good direct tone with the ax3000g :P
