I went to your page I like the ambient feel of Supernova, the LPK and soft synths were the best thing that happened to my Music in recent years, feel free to go to katao Mars on Soundcloud to hear my Music, Thanks!
@blinx503 I do not know what you have for music software but you would need a Digital Audio Workstation also known as a DAW. That type software normally comes with VSTi’s which are instruments. I currently use SONAR X1 LE which is a light edition of SONAR X1, it’s also cheaper.
@SosSifou No I did not learn on this controller. I already had a basic understanding of piano, but this was my first classical piece that I did. I am glad you like it.
@FluxCobalt I recently received one of these as a gift and have yet to open it, but I can tell that the little CD sleeve and the CD itself are both missing (as if someone had returned the item but without the software CD). I could return the item myself, as I was provided with the receipt, but I'd really rather not if I don't have to. Is the software essential? I only intend on using it to do some quick notation in my DAW, Logic.
Hope you can help, but if not, thanks anyway and nice Bach! :)
@GMJ7 No you do not need the CD. The only software it has on it is the LPK 25 Editor. You would use the editor if you want to program the keyboard. You can download it from AKAI’s web site if you need it. The keyboard is just plug and play. It will work with any VST I you assign it with in your DAW. I hope this information helps and I am glad you like my Bach version.

@FluxCobalt Many thanks for your helpful reply. It's a relief to know that the CD is not essential and that I can find it on their site if I need it. I look forward to unboxing this little wonder next time I sit down to Logic! :)
@SnorkelProductionz It should work in FL with out any problem. As for sounds, it does not have any sounds. You have to have VSTi's because the LPK 25 is just a controler.
@GabriellLander It took getting used to. I have short fingers but I got the keyboard mainly to use for one shot sounds and some basic note playing with my VST’s. I create ambient music so I didn’t need full size keys at that time but now I have a 49 full size key keyboard by Roland. After messing around with the small keyboard for so long this full size one takes getting used to.
does it plug in to fl?

@81bvp. If you can tell me how you have your LPK set up it will help me to figure out what might be wrong.

You should of just bought the Mpk mini for $100, than those lpk25 and the beatpad for $69.

@meltmeltproductions. They did not have the MPK out at the time that I bought LPK and LPD.

That was most excellent. One of my favorite pieces of music and not diminished in the least by that diminutive keyboard. Bravo.
