watch out! that work lights heats up quickly and an could easily cause a fire. especially when used with that paper lantern it will even damage the umbrella in no time. I'd stay away from that "hot lights"
one other down side of these light color temperature inconsistency they get warmer as you use them, causing WB problems
Actually, its a Finish company (Finland), and it is properly pronounced as E-Kay-ugh. Just because you and every other American pronounces it as Eye-Key-ugh doesn't mean its right. Oh and the "e" on the end of Porsche isn't silent either, just so you know.
Good, informative video ... But I didn't like the video you used on yourself until you pulled the chinese lantern into the photo ... Would be nice if you do a follow up setting up the equipment as you have a nice easy style ... concise and good teaching .... I saw a lowel lighting setup kit for 279. My problem is ... it would blow the circuts out in my apartment. I'm using fluorescent .. but it isnt' the warm quality you can get from incandescent lighting

Show us the lights AND something you lit with them. Otherwise a paragraph of writing does the same thing.

Really? Oops.
I'm British actually, and we can't pronounce it here either.
As its an acronym, not technically a name, I think its likely the pronunciation will be different from place to place.
We could start a campaign to standardise the pronunciation to Icky-Uh.

Not to split hairs...but it actually is a Swedish company and it is pronounced "eye-KEY-ah".
Not like it really matters, we knew what the guy meant.
Thanks for the lighting tips!

Way to go! Thanks for the info! I've seen a lot of students sink into debt when they get into videography, and there are cheaper ways to do it!
