I recently began the study of my family history by completing a mtDNA test. Through this test I discovered that I am a member of Haplogroup X. I don't think I can get any blacker and dark brown skin is highly prevalent on my mom's side of the family. As I learn more about my family, I hope to learn more factual, unbiased scientific data about Haplogroup X as well.
@TrueBrandy Well depending upon your subgroup of mtDNA Haplogroup X you most certainly can have a dark skin tone. I'm not saying you can't. These videos are simply to show the actual haplogroups which took paths in and out of Egypt around the time of the ancients. Your origination point is still in Western Asia but you probably had ancestors which travelled back into Africa, most likely further south such as Ethiopia as I have seen pictures of Ethiopians with X and had skin just like yours
@TrueBrandy Of course it is also quite possible you were only in one of Northeast Africa's more southern countries like Ethiopia or Sudan long enough to obtain your skin color and then moved north into Egypt or out of the continent. With your haplogroup there is evidence of back-migrations from Asia into Africa which most likely gives the reason for your skin color which had to adapt to Africa's harsh climates. The problem is this idea of race as if people who look different can't be related. Egypt is connected to Asia by land so of course there were Asiatics who migrated into Egypt. Egypt is also a part of Africa and so there were also more southern African groups who migrated up the Nile into the Sahara and back to the Nile again. Melanin levels can be obtained by climatic conditions & diet which can't stand alone as solid evidence. When the term caucasoid is mentioned its used as a tool to make people understand that black skin doesn't make them a direct genetic link to black Africa anymore than I since the genetic marker they carry could be that of a European/typical caucasoid origination point.

I recently began the study of my family history by completing a mtDNA test. Through this test I discovered that I am a member of Haplogroup X. I don't think I can get any blacker and dark brown skin is highly prevalent on my mom's side of the family. As I learn more about my family, I hope to learn more factual, unbiased scientific data about Haplogroup X as well.

@TrueBrandy Well depending upon your subgroup of mtDNA Haplogroup X you most certainly can have a dark skin tone. I'm not saying you can't. These videos are simply to show the actual haplogroups which took paths in and out of Egypt around the time of the ancients. Your origination point is still in Western Asia but you probably had ancestors which travelled back into Africa, most likely further south such as Ethiopia as I have seen pictures of Ethiopians with X and had skin just like yours

With your haplogroup there is evidence of back-migrations from Asia into Africa which most likely gives the reason for your skin color which had to adapt to Africa's harsh climates. The information I received to explain this suggests an origination point of Africa with a group of individuals migrating out and through natural mtDNA mutation forming Haplogroups M and N. The problem is this idea of race as if people who look different can't be related. Egypt is connected to Asia by land so of course there were Asiatics who migrated into Egypt. Egypt is also a part of Africa and so there were also more southern African groups who migrated up the Nile into the Sahara and back to the Nile again. Not only that but some of them evolved lighter skin because they were not in the tropics.

I am attempting to find the origins of that blood type like I already stated yesterday when I was challenged why I was posting specific comments about the difference between celtic and saxon feet and dna. I already have researched the populations the the blood can be found so possible dna markers of Tut and red hair found on Rameses II interests me in case there is a connnection to Gaelic Kelts who lived on Briton and Ireland for thousands of years before anglo-saxons- a different tribe.

I am trying to trace the origins of rhesus negative blood actually. My celtic scots/irish/hebridean island red haired blood type actually and I've got one American friend on u-tube who had rh- blood with red indian ancestory. I was wondering if this haplogroup was related to that research.
Why wouldn't it have anything to do with this video?
I looked on line for areas that this haplogroup can be found and it matches my research into the populations the blood can be found

I've also got one Scottish rh- friend and he confirmed like me that our celtic toe lengths are the same, so maybe feet and rare mysterious blood types have nothing to do with this Haplogroup X or maybe they do?

@Salsassin They look nothing alike. The point is they share the same genetic marker. I never determine racial groups by skin. Melanin levels can be obtained by climatic conditions & diet which can't stand alone as solid evidence. When the term caucasoid is mentioned its used as a tool to make people understand that black skin doesn't make them a direct genetic link to black Africa anymore than I since the genetic marker they carry could be that of a European/typical caucasoid origination point.

I'm discussing genetic links to locations by genetic migratory patterns depicting the origination points & paths of the ancestors. I use pictures provided by the Genographic project to represent the diversity of haplogroups & they aren't classified as a single race. For example a future video on Mitochondrial M1 depicts a clearly black Ethiopian woman & an Arabian tan woman & both make up this haplogroup.
