I personally prefer Griffith, but they're both Sonic Angels compared to Sonic's newest voice. Search up Sonic Colors Cutscene and see for yourself. But, nothing stops me from the Sonic games, they give me a special feeling when I play them, just like the Legend Of Zelda does. But, that's just me.

I was so pissed when I played Shadow the Hedgehog and all of the voices were different. They hired all of the actors from the half-assed anime. They exact same thing happened with Pokemon. The companies don't care about fans, they just want money.

Jason Griffith and Ryan Drummond are both good in their own right. Both work hard and bring their own styles. Ryan's seems to be more younger, not caring, and (at times) more serious, while Jason brings a more mature and experienced Sonic. But thats how I see it, and think they are both wonderful.

I'll tell you something that unrealistic about ages. After Sonic Adventure 2 there was a 50 year gap between it and Sonic heroes when Sonic was described as 15 years old but 50 years before that, he was living and so was Shadow. The ages are all jumbled in the Sonic series. Don't recognise them, just play the game

@Diddstarpure Thats true, but Shadow was created using the design of the paintings of Super Sonic fighting Robotnik in the Hidden Palace Zone, So you could say that Shadow was made from, story line wise, from Sonic prophecy. If that makes any sense, because this was mentioned.

yes, 13%, not 13 ppl. XP 13% means that amount of portion compared tothe total is all. XP 30000 ppl out of 2590000 ppl is a small protion, of course those arent real numbers just a good example, there's a LOT of ppl on the globe. My family cannot tell the difference. Hell, most of them are used to Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure 2. Yet when they hear "woah!" From a new Sonic game, they are like... "are you playing Sonic?" From the voice alone. Most people cannot tell the difference.
The only time a difference was noted was when Sonic said "yeah, Smash em up!"

No but your just one of those people who drags on in his snetences saying that gameplay this or how good a game is THAT. Noone want to hear it. The voice acting does matter because it is fanservice and fanservice is supposed to coexist with Gameplay. People like Galleyies, or seeing Sonic with Chillidogs in the new games. Its not just aboout running and jumping. People want to see cool cutscenes and GOOD VAs. Im saying that 4kids as a group arent that good but seperately i have my favorites.

i really dont think the voice acting is bad, with a few exceptions though. i still dont see how having Ryan back would change anything. writers make up lines for all actors.
i thought the cutscenes in Unleashed were awesome, especially the intro. i see wut ur saying as just an opinion like mine. i dont even care if Ryan comes back or if Jason stays, i like both of their Sonic voices.

Ryan Drummond sounds alot cooler. He doesn't sound as weird as the new one, the new one just does not fit Sonic. Also Jason Griffith does atleast a good job as Shadow. [My opinion :D].

I'll tell you something that unrealistic about ages. After Sonic Adventure 2 there was a 50 year gap between it and Sonic heroes when Sonic was described as 15 years old but 50 years before that, he was living and so was Shadow. The ages are all jumbled in the Sonic series. Don't recognise them, just play the game

@hdrevolution123 either you dont pay attention or you just didint realise but its not a 50 year gap between adventure 2 and heroes its like 1 year shadow was created 50 years before adventure 2 battle so really shadow is the original worlds fastest hedgehog although sonic was created by sega first.

@Diddstarpure Thats true, but Shadow was created using the design of the paintings of Super Sonic fighting Robotnik in the Hidden Palace Zone, So you could say that Shadow was made from, story line wise, from Sonic prophecy. If that makes any sense, because this was mentioned.

Actually no according to the current info on Sonic Websites hes still 15 or 16. u have to read carefully. Sonic is still more Ryan Drummond to me and should be to plenty of people. Hes still young. In Sonic Adventure he sounded way older than Griffith and pulled it off. I wonder what Ryans adventure voice wouldve been like in Sonic Unleashed. It wouldve made the game rock a whole lot more. Sonic is still 15 if u check the sites carefully

Jason Griffith is very good, but I like Ryan Drummond better.
Jason sounds like he's forcing Sonic's voice, while Ryan's voice just flows great with the portrayed image of Sonic

What Jason is REALLY bad at is Shadow. Shadow's first voice was 1 million times better.

I always liked Ryan's better, but he's not THAT much better so it's not worth the time to me. ^^; I mean there's a lot of ppl that express interest...but so far that's only like 13% of the population, other's are like me. who knows. If this issue gets attention on a bigger scale than things might change again to someone else or change back. 13% is less than determined for sure. Ive heard 13% from u the whole tiem. I have seen credible sources and SEGA America. yes, 13%, not 13 ppl. XP 13% means that amount of portion compared tothe total is all. XP 30000 ppl out of 2590000 ppl is a small protion, of course those arent real numbers just a good example, there's a LOT of ppl on the globe. XD And it's just such a small request and it's been done so many times. IF they change it to a new guy or back to Ryan it's fine by me as long as he doesnt sound like Pikachu, but I'm not gonna WORRY about it. cant imagine myself doing so unless it were out of boredome

wow 0:23 to 0:28 sounded like the same person. And from this video it seems like they're both passable. I mean, Ryan's is higher and a bit exxaggerated and corny, then Jason's is deeper and a bit more dopey, but atthe same time they both sound pretty good just a slight bit different,but not TOO much. ^^

I think he's good at both becuase he doesn't sound exactly like Ryan or exactly like David (and why should he? He's NOT Ryan or David) but he sounds close to not one of them but both of them. o.o that's pretty good. His Shadow's more whisperish and a different attitude, but he COULD sound like David if it was directed to be, but obviously they're SUPPOSE to sound the way they currently do or else they wouldn't sound that way now XD

My family cannot tell the difference. Hell, most of them are used to Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure 2. Yet when they hear "woah!" From a new Sonic game, they are like... "are you playing Sonic?" From the voice alone. Most people cannot tell the difference.
The only time a difference was noted was when Sonic said "yeah, Smash em up!"

I do not count the internet people to count as the majority in anyway. Most internet people are obsessed with the Japanese, and complain about how their anime shows are being taken away off networks. The most significant improvement in any failing voice actor ever occurring. I recognized the great change in his voice acting in Sonic Unleashed. I think it is due to the mass criticism he received for his voice acting in Sonic X and the ps3/xbox 360 game

No, I do not think he "changed" due to mass criticism. Have you read ANY reviews for Sonic Adventure games? The voice acting is thrashed. IGN, Gamespot, 1up, Gaming age. They say Sonic's voice acting was the worst in any game. Did that guy change? No.
You think the guy cares what an internet group thinks? Professional reviewers hate the voices less than they ever did since the change. Yet, my friends and family cannot tell the difference.
