you should try playing the first FEAR before considering buying Project Origin. as for the humanoid figures, well, they're the replica soldiers, pretty friendly once you get to know them.
so, this wont involve the story of alma and the two sons, paxton and the character you play in the first? If that is the case then its not really a sequel cause its not gonna really have a direct connection to the first.
Story-wise, yes this is a sequel. Game starts 30 minutes before the end of F.E.A.R. Right around when Alma was released and the Origin facility exploded. Vivendi only had the license to the NAME of F.E.A.R., Monolith has all the rights to the characters and plot so there's a chance Fettel may be back as well.
But will the sequel have a direct connection with the main character of the first and everyone else?, will the sequel story line connect directly to the first and continue from there?
they wont really mention who from the first game will be back. alma is the only one sure to return. in all the interviews ive read about it they game makers have pretty much said they cant say who will or wont be in the sequel
its starting to look like you can play as both...maybe im wrong but if you look at the arm on the player in this trailer, it looks more similar to the glove and armgurad used by the FEAR pointman rather than the those used by Beckett. but maybe im wrong idk
It's not, Developers stated that it took place not long after the original FEAR, and you play as a Delta Operative. They couldn't use the name FEAR because Vivendi own that copyright, this game is being made by monolith. Apparantly Vivendi is making their own game though, which will be confusing.
Technecly, it is fear, its the sequal made by a diffrent developer, Atleast thats what PCgamer magazine say's, so yeah its the same thing as FEAR...not a knock off...and theres a reason it looks like fear :D

Story-wise, yes this is a sequel. Game starts 30 minutes before the end of F.E.A.R. Right around when Alma was released and the Origin facility exploded. Vivendi only had the license to the NAME of F.E.A.R., Monolith has all the rights to the characters and plot so there's a chance Fettel may be back as well.

It does involve Alma. And it will probably involve the two sons if Alma is there.

they wont really mention who from the first game will be back. alma is the only one sure to return. in all the interviews ive read about it they game makers have pretty much said they cant say who will or wont be in the sequel

its starting to look like you can play as both...maybe im wrong but if you look at the arm on the player in this trailer, it looks more similar to the glove and armgurad used by the FEAR pointman rather than the those used by Beckett. but maybe im wrong idk

It's not, Developers stated that it took place not long after the original FEAR, and you play as a Delta Operative. They couldn't use the name FEAR because Vivendi own that copyright, this game is being made by monolith. Apparantly Vivendi is making their own game though, which will be confusing.

Technecly, it is fear, its the sequal made by a diffrent developer, Atleast thats what PCgamer magazine say's, so yeah its the same thing as FEAR...not a knock off...and theres a reason it looks like fear :D
