her jumps are not totally 180, although they do come very close, and she didn't have as many tumbling passes or difficulty on the tumbing as other gymnasts. that's the only reason, because she did a hell of a job! :)
that's complete b.s.!!! this is 1995 code of points, not 2008-09. she did 4 passes, including double layout mount, full twisting double plus 2 front tumbling passes. this set was world class ... check out Gogean's 95 world title winning set. Ur clueless if u honestly believe what u just wrote, LOL.
you might want to have a closer look at the vid: her 4th tumbling pass only only has a full twist, and even back then, when you were probably not born, that wasn't the hardest thing to do. at 0.28 and 1.02 her legs aren't at a perfect 90° and 180° angle, which even in 95 was a slight deduction. at 1.22 her chest is down to her knees after the full-twisting double back. don't get me wrong, none of my girls can't pull that off, much less myself, but don't call me incompetent without facts.
ur welcome 2 draw ur deductions at will -- God knows the judges certainly pick their pts. but, no, like i said 1)review the winning set from Gogean that yr. 2)review the top sets of 95-96...everyone except Podkopayeva was doing a double layout mount and using a full twisting double 2 dismount. u claim Strug's set here wasn't as difficult as others at 95 WCs? u may know some gymnastics, but u still sound pretty clueless.
Yeah, it was the most artistic routine she's ever had (her 1993 choreography that P. Liddick did was pretty good while Kerri was at Dynamo training with Miller).
Yeah, I like the choreography too. The Forsters also coached Kulikowski and D. Thompson at this time. They had good choreography too. Their club, like Hlls and Scats and some others, puts more emphasis on choreography.
Kerri's amazing... her second tumbling run has a cool pike-open layout front after the front full. Very neat! She was at the epitomy of her career when she did her ankle in. What a shame. She really would have challenged Podkopayeva in Athens for the floor title.
@mrparke007 what do you mean by athens? the olympics were in Atlanta that year... was there another major competition in those years in athens? sorry, I'm not great at remembering all of the competitions
Her tumbling is great, but the in-between bits are jerky and don't flow with the music.
