  • So I'm trying to use this command to get my dog to drop things that I don't want him to eat like rocks and branches, etc. If I keep giving back the toy, won't he expect the branch or rock back also? Thanks

  • @DogTraininGirl101 so do you give them a treat all the time or eventually they will get the idea and you wont have to give them s treat and they will remeber.

    Just a matter of interest, I never actually taught Mandy how to Drop It. She just seemed to know it when I got her as an 8 week old puppy! =) But I did teach Jayde using the method you demonstrated. And it works good!
