I just don't understand why Rob's vocals are mixed so low and dry on last few priest live dvd's. Makes him sound unnecessarily weak, like he's struggling to be heard. His performance here is actually pretty good. Just compare all the priest live crap releases to Halford's Saitama Super Arena dvd where the vocals are mixed (and delayed) very differently.

Halford retained his metal scream into his early 50s. Time and old age have now conspired to make them evaporate into thin air. Such is life, even for a metal god. However, we can still cherish and appreciate a huge body of work left behind, both solo (Halford, Two and Fight) and with the mighty Priest.

@tet1963 I'd have to disagree with you there. I think "Nostradamus" is their best album, possibly the best album ever recorded, It's up there. It can be a hard album to digest due to its length and depth but it'll grab you by the balls if you let it (no gay joke intended lol). But seriously Halford doesn't sound like an "old man" at all on the album. Although Dio is my favorite singer R.I.P. I have to admit...I think Rob's voice aged better then Ronnie's did.

every metal singer of this caliber has the same issue,hard to do high notes,lots of factors involved.Equipment and setup,how well he can hear himself makes a world of difference.Halford is the original pioneer,he blazed the trail for all who followed in his footsteps.I think if i was stuck with 2 choices,to see him live or go to the hospital,Halford would win.

Halford's voice is scary since he shattered his vocal folds. He sounds way more agressive in every song, even without being able to sing high notes anymore.

It's easyer to continue playing the guitar than singing at 60 ! I think Halford knows better than any one that he has lost a part of his voice. But Heavy metal is his life and he can't stop...he will die on stage !

Of course it goes on the style of music. You can sing the songs from Muse at 90 but Halford has made so difficult songs for himself that he has problems now. Anyway, he is still f*****g present on stage !!! Metal Gods !!!

The man bleeds music, and he's a real showman live. I liked the somewhat intimate setting I saw him in...4th row!

Concert sounds good, but Rob ... I play on guitar more then 30 years and a have 4 years guitar school. My sister studied singing. I`m afraid that my opinion is real.
