  • wtf the gays fuking song ever !!! but a legitass vid ill give u tht one

  • It was here.....that the brave sons of the soviet union rose up...knowing that they were the last line of defense.....between the free world...and the mashing maw of Nazism......these brothers...rose up...and by their blood drove back the Atrocity known as the Wehrmacht...all who live free today owe a debt of gratitude to these young warriors...even if they themselves were not free.

  • Anyone who wants to watch the movie, its on YouTube here...

    watch?v=_-biDRwcrQs&feature=related

  • 0:53 cool

  • Way to make my thought of this scene become absolute shit, because of this shitty song.

  • oh that Germany always gettin in trouble

  • People want to make a big thing out the fact the Soviets held on against the Nazis til they were up against the Volga. Even if the Germans had taken the city what would have stopped Zhukov's offensive. The Axis was way over extended and would still have been cut off no matter what the Russians in the city were doing. There is no way the Axis could have won that war, they were outnumbered 10 to 1, not to mention way outgunned and had nowhere near the resources the Allies had.

  • @dancinkindofguy

Actually had the whole of Army Group South attacked Stalingrad it would have fallen whether it be a direct assault or pincer to surround the city.

  • @otester Even if they did capture it they never would have been able to hold it. What Hitler really wanted was the Caucasas oil. Stalingrad was just to be taken to protect the north flank and cut off Soviet traffic on the Volga.

  • @dancinkindofguy

Considering just 1/2 of Army Group South managed to take 90% of the city, I find that hard to believe.

Moscow being the main rail artery was the most important, they failed to take it due to Hitler diverting part of Army Group Center south to help Army Group South take Kiev during the summer months loosing time and also giving the Soviets more time to prepare.

  • @otester When the 6th and 4th Panzer Army were attacking Stalingrad the Germans were way overextended. As they lost more and more men in the meatgrinder of Stalingrad, they had no choice but to protect their long vulnerable northern flank with Romanians, Italians and Hungarians, all of dubious fighting quality, undersupplied and with no desire to die for Adolph Hitler. Capturing Stalingrad would not have changed this. Zhukov could have destroyed those weak auxileries any time he wanted.

  • @dancinkindofguy

I was saying what they did was wrong, the WHOLE of Army Group South should have attacked Stalingrad, best option being a pincer movement.

However the war was already decided by December 1941, the Germans failed to take Moscow due to Hitler's poor decisions, ie: diverting forces south to help Army Group South take Kiev which lost them a few months.

  • @otester In order to do a pincer movement around Stalingrad they would have had to cross the Volga north and south of it. The Volga is about a mile across down there so that would have been no easy feat. Going that far under enemy fire and then holding the bridgeheads would have been very costly, if they could get across at all, even with the whole of AGS. I agree Hitler lost the war in December 1941 by declaring war on the US especially when the Japanese didn't attack Siberia.

  • @dancinkindofguy

You're right it would be a costly option but an option nonetheless and one if considered, prepared for.

Declaring war on the US was stupid also the German's should have condemned Japan to keep the US out of the war.

  • @otester Like you said, Adolph wasn't to adept at making logical decisions. Another act of stupidity was the attorcities he commited against Soviet people who were willing to fight along side the Germans against Stalin and the communists, who had forced them off their farms and starved millions of them, thus making enemies out ot potential allies. He would have had ample opportunity to kill them off AFTER he defeated the USSR.

  • @dancinkindofguy

Those millions of "underdesirables" could have been recruited into the military along with ~500k Ukrainians.

Then you have the industrial problems that come with authoritarian structures, they were all trying to get "in" with Hitler and get rich, so output was pretty poor compared to what it could have been.

  • Wow, way to ruin an epic movie -_-

  • i wish somebody would put this movie up on you tube

  • Good movie, bad emo music used..

  • A poet say: "For your tomorrow ,just give them today"

Are the best poet to describe the soldier who sacrifice in WW2 ^^v

  • Name of song?

  • Bring Me To Life

  • the song ruined it.....sorry

  • enemy at the gates is a good movie i watch it like 5 times a week :D

  • a week?....

  • thi aint the right song for the video ;(. but good effort though :)

  • Thanks buddy :) It was the best music i could think of at the time.

  • Also this is an example of quantity over quantity.. German veteran well armed battalion vs vastly larger number of russian conscripts. didn't they just keep flooding stalingrad with boatloads of troops until the valga froze and they marched an entire army into the city?

quantity over quality is kind of also how we used sherman tanks against the German's Tigers and panzer IV.. Russian T-34 were heavy though

  • can't imagine how scared they must have been charging the Germans without even a weapon for reassurance and just an ammo clip (even then a clip is barely anything). Hitler kind of shot himself in the foot though here because he wasted a battalion of his veteran troops (what was left of it was merged into other battallions i think) trying to take Stalingrad just because it was named after Stalin and he thought it would hurt morale if it fell or also be a personal insult to Stalin.

  • 1:15 - 2:52 the definiton of stupidity!!!

  • no my friend thats a definition of bravery (having ballz to die for your country). it looks stupid to us but it meant everything for them

  • Can't agree..though I wasn't there to fight I doubt that honor and bullshit like that matters when it comes down to reality. In movies you try to describe soldiers as heroes and men fighting and willingly dying for what they believe in, but the few real war-veterans I've spoken to hardly even want to talk about it. I say no land or political view is worth dying for, nor freedom or other Braveheart romantic crap like that..all worthless if you're dead. Only thing I'd die for is my beloved ones.

  • well in yugoslavia you think that people fought for freedom of croatia because they had to?all croatian soldiers in war for freedom were volontiers,we din't had single soldier or weapon our soldiers were attacking yugoslavian baracks (guarded by serbs) to get some weapons

  • well said

  • Those bastard commisars, they give soldiers rifles with 5 rounds,no extra ammo, telling them to charge into a line of rifles, tanks and machineguns, while the commisars themselfs have SMG's, LMG', and more ammo. If they were smart enough to use that against the GERMANDS not their own damn men. THE RUSSIANS ARE USING FUGLY WEAPONS FOR INFANTRY ADN FANCY WEAPONS TO KILL THEIR OWN MEN! The wort mistake they could make. Basicly, there telling their soldiers to " go over their and die, or wel kill u"

  • interesting, how the Russians are using German locomotives.

  • Kind of weird how the most powerful army in the history of mankind lost due to the actions by its supreme commander (Adolf Hitler).

  • Yeah....all it took was a stupid mistake in decision making to turn the whole thing upside down for the Germans.

  • sorry? the most powerful army in history of mankind won that conflict (soviet army)

more tanks and artillery than all other countries taken together kinda means something, plus technological superiority in those tanks and artillery.

  • im sorry but the red army charged into battle many times without those needed supplies and they(my people) won WW 2 with willpower, and the indestructible might called revenge and patriotism

  • Зачем что-то писать если ни хера не знаешь про военную историю?

  • Я печатаю на машинке о нашей истории поэтому другие могут знать больше.

  • Russian army the most powerful army? You're joking right? Female division? Attacking without weapons?

Many soldiers didn't even know what was going on, they were simply told "the Germans are coming, defend here". They lost 5 times more men and material.

The only reason they 'won' is because Germany was pretty much fighting against the entire world on three fronts and Russia is extremely large and got massive material support from America.

  • well also Germany was fighting the major powers of the world and actually kicking ass for a while... and so soon after fighting the major powers of the world in the first world war lol...

Germany might have been able to take Britain though cuz the RAF was almost completely destroyed in the Battle of Britain and kept putting out fake wooden planes to make the german scout planes report that they still had a large airforce lol.. that would have completely changed the war

  • Oh they really were kicking ass! The problem was, Hitler didnt bring the country into full mobilization until the middle of 1944, and his allies were very weak and incapable of really doing much at all. Italy for example, started out the war by invading the Albanian territories to the east, and from the VERY BEGINNING got whooped! Hitler had to bail them out time and time again, and in doing that lost valuable time her needed to keep the blitzkrieg tactics effective as he swept through the East.

  • @B1gO how can i copy some parts of movie and put them together

  • Oh dude its easy. Just use Windows Movie Maker and cut the movie into pieces that you want and delete the parts you dont want.

  • yes Italy was very bad in that war. I hadn't even heard of them going into Albania only of their troops in North Africa which was still very little. Hitler allied with them because they were fascist and Hitler was kind of inspired by Mussolini i think? Japan was an odd alliance though because they were on opposite sides of the worl and never even came into contact or worked together really... almost like 2 seperate wars instead of seperate theaters now that i think about it.. lol

  • better tactics one could say

  • IMO hitler was a great leader he just went fucking crazy and that was really his downfall

  • He got a big head and decided he would take ultimate leadership of the war and make all decisions himself, which of course cost Germany the war since he was a politician not a tactician. He screwed up every decision he ever made from Dunkirk to the end.

  • Comment removed

  • i never understand, why to put a song, instead of the original sound of the film ...

anyway .. nice scene .. nice movie ... thanks!

  • Thank you so much :)

  • The fate of the world was decided on the banks of the Volga.

  • @Linkster2o lol

  • sooooooooooo nice 10000000000000*

  • Thanks so much :) im glad you did.

  • Maybe, but without Soviet Union UK, USA, Europe and others lose anyway.

USSR real winner of war with allies help.

P.S. By the way, "Enemy at the gate" real shitty false hollywood's cheap stuff.

  • stimm dir voll zu

  • would people please stop adding nightwish to every single video...

    do something original for once

  • i enjoy the fact that 90% of the people here dont even have a fucking clue what they are talking about.....its cute

  • Some of them dont...but a lot of them do.

  • are you stupid or what that's not gonna happen.

    grow up

  • Like you want. We will see that. :P

  • how old are you?

    you sound like a child

  • you are a retard dzvinci...

  • it wasnt the number they feared of it wasnt the soldiers it wasnt the leaders it was the coldness hitler made a mistake when he send germans into russia because there was a freezing temperature -20C i guess and the germans werent ready for such conditions so they couldnt fight anymore because they were too cold they took alot of clothes on them and the clothes slow them down but the russians werent that cold because they were born in that country they were used to those conditions lol

  • Hitler did make the mistake of trying to invade russia. He thought he would take the russians by surprise since he considered they werent very well prepared for war. Although russia lost millions of soldiers and civilians, russia had superb leaders. The main mistake hitler made was thinking that russia didnt have enough man power and trying to invade a country that is pretty much a frozen tundra. The nazis weren't prepared for the frozen land and the freezing weather.

  • Actually Russian leaders were very incompetent, Russia survived only because of Hilters bad decisions. The Germans had the power to destroy Russia, with proper planning they would have done it easily.

  • If they had managed to capture Moscow and fence in Stalin then yeah....they actually COULD have won the war before things got too bad.

  • great movie.

  • the best film of Jude Law

  • Dont blame Germany...blame the idiot that ran it into the ground.

  • Blame Germany. The people let Hitler and all his fellow Monsters into power and then they worshiped the Nazis fanatically.

  • The truth is - the people were desperate. Hitler promised them a bright future, and they turned their hopes to him. And he did restore Germany's economy and turn a dying country into a superpower.

So it's not at all surprising that the people worshipped him. He had earned their trust, and they honestly believe that he could conquer the world...

  • Like Americans are doing with Obama? lol

  • blablabla... jew.

  • You would have too if you had watched him bring your country out of the ashes and into a great superpower.

  • there you got a point but not al the germans wanted hitler into power alot of them hated hitler there were 30 plots to kill hitler 20 plots are thought of by germans like valkery so don't say blame germans you shoeld say blame nazi's

  • Exactly...it was the Nazis that started it all in the first place....not the German people. They were just looking for a savior to bring them out of the despair and depression of WW1.

  • @isamarine

Blame Russia too they let Stalin took place !

Blame Spain they let Franco took place !

Blame the USA they voted 2 times for Bush ect...... so lets blame the whole fucking world then !

PS: i bet you drive an german car ....

  • Exactly B1gO Blame that bastard Adolf Hiter he got his own troops killed by Russia cold dark winter. the troops died of exhaustion, hunger, thirst and sickness. the wehrmacht was the best German military during the Third Reich up until Hitler decided to go on a suicide mission of invading Russia LOL

  • Yeah....I have to say....that invading Russia was the death of Germany. You just cant conquer a country that big, let alone HOLD onto it....its a frozen wasteland.

  • I just hope the USA doesn't make the same mistake like Nazi Germany made of invading Russia:(

  • We call that Afghanistan lol

  • Blame the the Nazis and hot the civillian soldiers that had no choice but to fight.

  • I would have prefered to hear the original audio

  • Yeah. Me, too.

  • I thought it worked perfectly....you can find the audio version of this on here...

  • i can tell you the ruskies didn't won that war because they had better soldiers or weapons they just had (way) more men and supplies and where prepared for winter

  • you are partially right on the part they did not win because of better soldiers, however, they did win with better weapons. The Germans themselves agreed that the Russian PPSH-41 jams alot less and is much more reliable due to its large drum. The Russian also had T-34, considered the be the world's best mass-produced medium tank. Don't forget also the Katyushka rocket, light and mobile artillery capable of devastating a large area. The Russian loss initially was all because of the surprise.

  • true the T-34 and KATYUSHKA where the work of geniuses

but the russians did lose almost all of their regulars in the 1 week of the invasion

    but still i would choose a MP40 or sturmgewehr above a PPSH-41

  • And the lack of tactics lol...

  • An mp 44 vs a ppsh interesting choice

myself i wold go for the ppsh larger drum mag plus simple agricultural syle like the ak makes it easier to manafacture plus with the larger drum mag your still firing while evrybody else is scrabbling to reload

  • @Ske11en Yeah I agree with you about the larger Drum but remember you need at least 5-10 bullets in the German chest to kill him, meanwhile it takes 1 to 2 shoots from stg bullets to take out 1 Russian, moreover the STG can easily outrange and ppsh can be used for multiple purposes such as snipring, close combat quarters, and as a supporter at med ranges,I have conducted a study on both, and I have found out that the only advantage has the ppsh over the STG,is 1STG worth about 5-10ppsh

    ^^.

  • 5-10 bullets in the chest?!? I think you need to go back and recalculate how many bullets you think it takes to kill someone. One shot to the chest, if not an immediate kill, would knock the wind out of the person rendering the person immobile. Then it would most likely cause internal bleeding resulting in a quick death.

  • There's a reason everyone uses assault rifles rather than SMG's. The MP44 is more versatile, on paper anyhow.

  • totally agree

  • I enjoyed this film.

Need to make more to remember this era in history.

    Thanks for the post.

  • oops its cod3

  • that song is really good for this vid 5/5....the song also makes me feel wierd inside of me...

  • isnt that vid based on in cod2?? And the vid made by derek512 is based of in cod 5 level Vendatta or how ever u spell it.

  • this part was cool 2:55

  • wats the title of this song???

  • Are you that stupid?! it pops up and tells you!!

  • What were the germans thinking, when they came to Stalingrad wearing polish boots and singing military songs?

    War is a serious business.

  • those arent polish boots. that type of boot was originally french, then the germans adopted it and modified it. the french then stopped using them as it looked very german, the poles started using them as the germans were a good efficient army so Poland was immitating the German way

  • this song does not go with the video

  • Comment removed

  • "Let us never forget the valiant men who gave their lives for their countries, regardless of what they thought was the right thing to do. They bravely gave their lives up for everything they held dear, and we should keep them in our thoughts."

Wise words B1Go, and a set that we should ALL keep into mind.

  • Don't tell people what to think you fucking nazi.

  • plus, the USSR OUTPRODUCED GERMANY IN EVERY SYSTEM(motar, rifles, machine guns, aircraft, tanks etc) so therefore the red army was BETTER EQUIPPED than the Nazis, the notion that there was one rifle for every 2 soldiers was a complete figment of paranoid western cold war propaganda

  • but they would have never out procdecd them if it wasen 4 the aliies bombing raids on nazi germanys factories...so if it wasent for the alllies...USSR would have lost

  • the USSR outproduced germany in every weapon system at the height of the war, when the allies had not entered yet, when it was just germany and russia, sorry i forgot to include that.

  • ya lmao but USSR is like fucking 100X bigger than germany

  • yes but the populations of germany, USSR and USA were roughly the same at that time, it takes manpower, and people to run the factories

  • That is a lie when Stalin signed the Non Agression pact with Hitler it was to buy time for the USSR to get ready. In the war on the eastern front at first there were shortages of munitions and weapons

  • indeed, it is a clear and consice FACT that the german army was much better eqquiped than the red army in terms of officers, guns, and so on when operation barbarossa started, the wermacht was a superior force, but it never occured to them that the Russians would learn from their "teachers"

  • There was a german spy that was discovered and started playing a dangerous double agent "game" He told the russians that the japs weren't planning any invasion for Kamchatka peninsula and that they could move their troops to their western front. But when he told them about operation barbarossa they didn't believe him and they were a bit unprepared.

  • all you people should know that this movie is a complete russophobic figment of imagination, first of all soviet to german losses was around 1:1.2, slightly to the germans favor, secondly, german soldiers were given orders to shoot every captured Red army soldier on the spot, unlike the complete BULLSHIT on this clip, no german "understood" the russians.

  • The reason they had to keep sending waves of infanty to their death was so that pressure could be appiled to the germans so they dont organize a assult that will make them lose the city. This is the reason that USSR loses over 20 million men during a 5 year period

  • hey hey hey, that hurt you know? not to be rude, but during the course of the war, in recent study, the soviet union lost 11 million, 40% in the first 1-2 years when the red army was disorganized

  • 0:01 to 4:00 was suside

  • indeed

  • 1:40 - 2:55 Complete suicide

  • at 1:36 we had to do this it was insane we would jump up screaming at the top of lungs for the mother land!!!! while running straight at machineguns

  • common sovjet tactic

We got more man as you bullets... maybe it will take some time but you will go out of ammo before we will getting out of soldiers...

  • acutally this tactic was used mainly in the early part of the war when poor leadership had taken place in units and plus it was used mostly through out the war by penal battalions but was uncommon in regular units

  • yea really this is one of the most important and famous battles of ww2 this is pretty much where the russians gained most of there mometum back agianst the germans captured a german general and killed 800,000 german soldiers learn ur history mordor this is all on google 800,000 is just a base number the were also german pows and forced civilian fighter casualties

  • Mordor Your a fuckin retarded faggot

    this actually happened

  • 3:44 i agree

  • Russians are mad, sending millions of soldiers on cgarges equal to suicide. I think the Japenese with their komikaze are better!

  • The Kamikazie attacks were just plain stupidity & a pointless waste of life, the Soviets had more common sense than them anyway, their soldiers were deicated & ready to die for their country. Kamikazie pilots were just nuts, over-over-patriotic if you like

  • i agree with monkswood. the russians were patriotic and they did some damage. the kamikazees were just assholes. barley any of them killed anyone.

  • oh, do you think it's better to give up the country? there was no choice. the country was too weak because the destructive processes continued after bolshevist revolution and WW1.

  • I don't say theyshould give up their countruy but they did force people into death!!!

  • calm down!' have a comfort wank or anything just dont be so angry, its not our fault ur on your period

  • how dumb can you be though, you watch a dictator take half the world and bomb the homeland of the biggest empire in the world and they didnt think they wouldn't come for them, and dont come with all this treaty bullshit cuz look what happend to commies in germany so that would have made me worry if i was the biggest communist country in the world

  • it wasnt a small city at the volga river, it was stalingrad omg

  • This movie is a disgrace and insult to WW2!! it should be boycotted!!

  • How so?

  • bulshit, the demolished a story and romanticed it to make a nice movie. Though the horrible situation the soldiers were in are forgotten

  • You should read Victor Suvorov's books. Likewise a bit of study on the subject of the deliberate casualty-oriented Soviet operational arts during this period should be helpful.

There is of course no disputing that many of the best officers in the Red Army were killed on Stalin's orders prior to the war. As for the Ukranians, so many of them were persecuted during the Holodomor genocide that many viewed the Nazis as liberators.

None of this is open for dispute. All of it is documented fact.

  • The Bolsheviks did not have to use their own people like cannon fodder. The NKVD did not have to position machine-gunners to slaughter their own retreating troops. Most of all, Stalin did not have to shoot his good officers because they might be a potential threat to his power in the future.

The operational tactics used by the Bolsheviks were outrageously cruel and inefficient. Only because they outnumbered the Germans by over 3-1, and because of Russian courage, did they manage to win.

  • think that's 50% cold war myth, bub.

  • vedenatta

  • GOOD nice excellent

  • Wasted good, healthy men and for what?...

  • I have every respect for the courage and steadfastness of the Russian heroes of Stalingrad. But I have none for the Bolshevik commisars and NKVD, who fed them into that lead fire like cattle, simply to serve the vanity of one outrageously evil man.

  • You have to understand that there wasn't much choice. They had to, or else if they lost Stalingrad, they'd lose the rest of the Rusia aswell, and there wouldn't be any recovery after that..

  • Great movie.

  • One of my favorites too

  • I have ALOT OF RESPECT for all these soldiers who gave there lives for us

  • Ok those everyone have to use this song in their videos?

  • excellent video and very correct comment at the end

  • Thank you so much :) We must never forget these brave soldiers

  • This is a good tribute. Forever keep in mind that these young peoples (Russians and Germans) die for something in their heart. They were not motivated by duty. They were all humans. Remember them.

  • Thank you...i make it a very big deal to remember the dead. Because both my grandpa's fought in the war...the funny thing was that one was an American soldier, and one was a German soldier....its a very fascinating war to study, but very saddening when you think about the millions who died.

  • or they were forced

  • well....of course conscription was used by every country involved in the war at some point, but even those soldiers showed great courage despite all the things that were thrown at them.

  • the germans feared being sent to stalingrad to face the huge number of 'fearless' red army soldiers. Gotta hand it to those Russians, what with all the loses and harsh puishments for retreating, they did pretty well. RIP all dead soviets whose blood is still in the ground at stalingrad.

  • I´m not much of fan of Russians (can be couse i´m finnish) but i got to give them credit for getting this city back

  • Well done comerade

But the Battle of Stalingrad was not a year long. It began on July 19th (17th by some claims) and ended on February 2nd

    Just saying :P

  • Yeah. It wasnt a year, you're right. It was half a year. Thanks for that :) Its good to know that there are more historians out there like myself. Keep the history alive!

  • man that was a terrible years for the man women and children

but nise song waths the title of the song

  • Thanks man....its Bring Me to Life by Evanescence.

  • Heil! Heil the Soldiers on the Eastern Front!

  • Im with you there man :) Those soldiers went through hell.

  • Hell's nothing compared to what those went through. Let them all rest in Peace. <0.

  • im with you there too....it's only been a little over 60 years, and everyone has already forgotten.

  • Yes, it is terrbile. We have to remind them of what the men, women and children endured during several years.

Heil! May the Gods smile upon you!

  • You too! God Bless!

  • you guis are dumb u shouldnt argue with such things all we need to knwo that stalingrad was a cursed place for the rushan and the nazis that the blood of many people were spiled there just becaus of two men that had a personal war.STALIN WAS NO DIFERENT THAN HITLER!!! HE KILLED MORE RUSSIANS THEN GERMANS HE LEADED THEM TO DEATH ON STALINGARD!!! it was a tragical place stalingrad and we should never forget that place!!!

  • You should read:

According to BOOKS I read, like the battle of stalingrad (anthony beevor) the number of lossen on both sides was FAR higher, and I'm pretty sure the russian losses were far higher.
