To me, car makers today are more incline to design their product for speed and profit; not for safety and a family orientation. I love those times when people believe in their cars as their second home for their families and not just to satisfy their ego. The old days is about simplicity and respect for life; that I wish to believe that it is still true, today.
@fatcowbow - You might wish you were born in the 1950's but I can assure you that (a lot) about the 1950's sucked dog balls. The 1950's weren't as awesome as you've been lead to believe AND {many - many} people were continually worried to death about being killed by a nuclear bomb. Best thing to do is enjoy what you have today and forget about the so called 'good old days'.
