Well, m opinion is that airports are artistic monuments for a country which will be used for decades before being rebuilt. Each should have its own artistic design instead of copying from one another. For example. the Paris Charle de Gaul airport is one of the master pieces. It distincts itself from others by its own uniqueness.
ok?? you're wrong.... Yeah there WAS a ceremony BUT only Chinese officials and diplomats were invited. There's even 2 video reports on CNN's website clearly showing the ceremony and stating that.
Well, loads of the international sportsmen/women are invited. But many of the others Westerners are screaming for a boycott of Beijing's finest hours. So, who are to be invited & who are not? BTW do you think that the designers & enginers were well paid for their hard work? Or did they do it for peanuts?
If you understand Chinese, you'll know the first quote that CNN used from the Chinese man does not say what English translation says. That just shows how CNN uses these kind of footages of foreign language to serve for its own purpose.
I like this!!! Thankfully my hometown carrier Singapore Airlines, together with Star Alliance partners, will be using it, according to Wikipedia. What is the exact opening date?

If you check out the BBC website, you will find the most articles are written much on the not so positive side. So, shall we give them much respect?

design is easy, building it is hard. Chinese always do the hardest part.

Reminds me of Hong Kong International airport. Norman Foster's got his signature on both airports.

I'm not sure what the exact date it,but it is scheduled to open in february 2008 ;-)
Puntonghua 4 years ago
The Wikipedia information is not 100% correct. For example, T3C is too small to handle all Air China flights.
However, it is very likely that star alliance cariers will be using the new terminal.
Flights will begin end Feb next year. The terminal should become fully operational in May.

I heard it'll open in march2008,but it won't take airplane flights until may2008.
