"2% collected"??? And this is on the news of record-breaking profits for the health care industry for 39 out of 48 quarters. And then what he's saying is; if you don't have health insurance, don't sweat it, because those who do will end up paying higher premiums and deductibles to help you out. Thanks for the tip.
This is why when you educate doctors, you don't send them out to cash in after they graduate. You establish or build a facility for them and you pay them well. Not ridiculous money. Doctors in other countries only make a little and they are happy helping people.
Our Government is refusing to pay because Doctors charge too much. The people can not afford to pay so the Government has to pay for them. They don't want to pay for you because they are stingy on the currency but they have to otherwise hospitals will shut down and there will be upheaval. They only want to give little to control the people. Doctors are cashing in.
Factories are over charging hospitals for syringes, sutures, IV Fluid Bags, etc. Then the hospital over charges you.
Follow the money... Here in my area, the local newspaper dug up the cost of the "administration" at hospitals, that Dr. Gupta acknowledged is built into the cost of ordinary supplies. These "administrators" of our care are being paid, literally, millions of dollars per year in just BASE salary. And WE are all paying for THEM via a $150 tylenol pill. And, yes, the insurance company just pays it. Then, they pass along the cost to US. Maybe we should just get rid of insurance companies!? :-/
HMOs originally intended to make health care affordable to the common man since prior to age of the HMO's doctors are known to be as unscrupulous as the attorneys in ripping up their patients.
So what happen to the vocation and mission to save lives now?
Funny thing this 300K a year Doctor Sanjay Gupta blame the 200 bucks IV and didn't mention that labor cost consists the highest portion of HMO budget plans. Average pay for MD's over 250K and nurses over 100K if
@ambrosiobertodazo now that sucks, why attract foreign doctors and nurses with 250K. can use the money instead for scholarship to attract locals to nursing instead of joining the navy.
You would think there would be more competition. There is a gross imbalance here! Maybe instead of government health-care we should take a look at the REAL reason hospital supply's cost what they do. Perhaps the regulations need reforming, then maybe there can be more competition. Is it about patents? Maybe a law should be passed saying health-care supply's are omit from patent infringement. Follow the money to the crooks.
