At the end of the day every one is "quiet" and not in the streets protesting, cuz every one lives in the pocket of the banks and government. Even if people are pissed of and see whats going on, they simply weigh their options. Miss a day of work and not be able to afford to pay rent that month, posibly get arested and get the snot beat out of by our lovely riot police. or simply hope that it will change on its own. Welcome to the land of the "will it hurt my credit rating?"
I like how he never cites specifics, just says he knows better than us. So we trade washington for glenn beck? hmm, he believes an angel gave a guy the proof that jesus was american........LOL. I don't like regular middle eastern religions, let alone one that tries to place jesus in the USA.
@FreeTheNation Um, no it is not ideaology, I am just stating fact, he is about 75% accurate on his history. Nothing against anything, just stating a fact. I would do the same thing if it were the president, or some other similar talking head on the news. . And I do think you are embellishing a bit with ANY OTHER PERSON in the entire history of broadcasting LOL. I think you are a bit enamored with him. You sure your ideology isn't clouding YOUR judgement? I can cite specific incidents.
@FreeTheNation Either way, I follow the constitution, and Thomas Jefferson, we are free, no matter what, And I don't like seeing half facts about my country touted as 100% fact.. Again, Like I said, not singling out anyone, but he does need to read a bit more than he does if he is going to tout the things he does. I am not anti beck by any means. Keith olberman does the same thing, it is just a different news channel.
Which specific statements in this video, or any other, has Beck made that are historically or factually incorrect.
I'm sure he's not perfect.
Also, whom in broadcast history has put more educational information about History, Law, Economics and politics on the air than Beck... (maybe this is more of an opinion that a fact on my part)
@FreeTheNation We are arguing the same thing here, I was making a statement based on what I have read in his books and seen on his show, he does make mistakes with fact. And I think It may be an opinion about putting more out there than anyone else, but he is putting more info out there and not as much "propaganda" than the rest of the morons on tv, he tends to get personal with it sometimes, but I do agree with you there. That was my only point, I can list the ones he got wrong if you like.
@FreeTheNation Um, the road to serfdom proves my point. Have you even read it? I am not promoting liberalism, but the book sure does. If you are a tea party member, more power to you, i personally cannot stand democrats or republicans(and the "conservative" and "liberal" titles they bring with them) And our govt has long been the tool of starvation.....I just can't get past the fact that ex republicans are just now wanting to be free? It is a charlie foxtrot for sure.
One other thing.....Keith Olberman can't be put in the same category as Beck. In my opinion, Beck will go down in history as one of the most influential men of our age.
His accomplishments in galvenizing the Tea Party movement are immense.
Ron Paul is the Father of this movement, but Glenn Beck is the Tip of the Sword.
@FreeTheNation Only history will tell, I can't stand either one of them for the most part, Olberman whines, and Beck yells. Your hyperbole reminds of 1856 LOL. Are we to trade a federal government for a theocracy? I have more of the Beck "slips", but first I want to make sure we are on the same page here, fact only, no emotional rhetoric, not any of this " the guy I watch on TV is GOD!!!! and will kill you if you don't follow!!!!" just the facts....sir! also, "Galvanize" :)
@FreeTheNation And he also used pre colonial america as the example of an entire "christian" nation. Which is of course false. That is one of many, And while I appreciate your enthusiasm for beck, I do not share it. But you are stating your opinion and belief, which is great! I am just merely stating that he gets facts wrong sometimes. That is all. Like I said, I tend to follow Jeffersonian ideals, a TV entertainer doesn't impress me much, he is along the same lines as John Stewart IMHO
@larsjake Here are the topics that Beck has done more to educate Americans than any other broadcaster in the History of the US. 1. The Federal Reserve - Beck has done many shows teaching Americans how this horrible entity works and what they do. 2. Economics - Over the past 4 years, Beck has had a vast array of in depth shows on economic issues covering: Inflation of the money supply Debt to production ratios unfunded liabilities deflation - causations Fannie Mae Freddie Mac etc
@larsjake On economics ALONE, he has done more teaching to the American people than our public school system. Other subject matter: Constitutional Law with TOP experts in the field Constitutional History Teachings of the Founders American History As an investigative reporter (which he SHOUTS he is not) he has exposed Van Jones - Radical Communist TIDES foundation Alinsky Cloward Piven He has taught Americans about Fabianism, marxism Exposed the Fraud of the Wilson Administration
On the subject matter of economics, ALONE, Beck has presented more facts, more information and has exposed more corruption than EVERY OTHER BROADCASTER ALIVE TODAY COMBINED.
His research and presentations on economics is GENIUS and he is single handedly responsible for the mass education of what used to be an ignorant population
@FreeTheNation You need to follow each of your posts with "in my opinion". What statistics exist to prove beck has educated more people than any other broadcaster/entertainer? I am not nor have ever been ignorant. The things the tea party is whining about I was aware of 15 years ago. Anyway. How many parts of the book did you skip over? to start, in "arguing with idiots" beck claims that before "modern" america, the only religion in the country was protestant christianity.
not socialist,but communist is america now and it is going feudalist soon with all the labor-cheap be as a road hungry homeless, looking for some bread in the garbage
@prayfortruejustice I agree the theatrics are a little much but his content is, for the most part, correct. Now if this self proclaimed libertarian would stop dabbling in neoconservatism. He wants liberty on the one hand, then condemns others if he feels they don't agree with his brand of liberty on the other hand.
We ALL have our own personal "brand" of Liberty. This man is factually correct on most matters. I don't agree with him 100% of the time....but then again, I rarely agree with anyone 100% of the time.
Let's examine the content and I think we will agree with Beck 90% or more of the time.
@FreeTheNation I second your remarks and advise my neighbors not to shoot,hang, tar or feather a messenger. sift through the corporate chaff and embrace the kernel of nourishment. or in this case a bushel of BS hidden within the semantic fine print of 2300 pages nobody read and I still cant get antitrust support for the lawyers monopoly on our republic.

@larsjake -
I have NO IDEA what you are referencing.
However, Glenn beck has put more facts, more history, more education on Television than ANY OTHER PERSON in the entire history of broadcasting.
The depth of the subject matter covered is unparalleled in US history.
My guess - You haven't watched much....can't get past your ideology.

@larsjake
I'd like to see what things he has mentioned that you are referring to....at least three of the biggest mistakes.
I will say that Beck has promoted more books on history, economics and law than just about anyone in broadcast history.
For Example:
The Road To Serfdom sold about 7000 copies a year and is now selling 70,000 copies in a month since he featured it on his show.

I think that Hayek is THE definitive economic mind. I have read it.
Can you tell me, from your point of view, what specifically in Hayek's book promotes Liberalism???
I appreciate your input on this channel.
I'm still waiting on at least ONE specific thing on Beck??

@larsjake
No spelling corrections. I type fast and don't check my typing.
I don't get mad at people for different ideas. THAT's what I'm promoting.
On Beck - I will say this:
He broadcasts 3 hours of radio per day, 1 hour of TV per day and also produces various videos and news stories for his two other websites.
That's 25 PLUS hours per week or well over 1000 hours per year of SPEAKING.
The ratio of his mistakes to his GENIUS presentations to the American People is astounding.
