What is with this video? Is it actually running or is it just being push with compressed air? Couldn't figure out how to run and exhaust so the room doesn't fill with a cloud? Why isn't it on a dyno showing some torque numbers? I'd love to see this thing working. Something new would be so cool, but there is nothing but questions around it and no answers. At least get a real video of it running with some sound editing so we can hear it.
this is nothing until he gets it into a few cars and on the road. people want to see REAL, VIABLE results. which to laymen means put it in my car and let me drive it. if it is what you say it is then you will be able to sell it and market it using the proof that was found by letting a person drive a car powered by one of these engines. i will volunteer my services and put one of these in my car. there... done.. now he just needs to donate me one of these engines and he'll be on his wayto stardom
@toyolla86 Look at how stupid humanity is. It took them 14 years to accept the rotary as a performance engine, it will take just as long with this one.
I would love to see it idle for a whole day without overheating or seizing from poor lubrication. Hell I bet it will be so unbalanced that it will just fuck out all the bearings.
I appreciate you hosting the clip but a fuzzy picture shot through a fence, with some guy blocking the lens half the time, and crappy compression is not high quality.
Of course it's the highest quality clip the guy has ever had...he has refused to respond to my offers to film something in HD for him.
Wow, he takes 1200 HP worth of compressed air and makes 850 HP with it. Just imagine what he could do with 1500 HP worth of compressed air. I'll bet he could make 1100 HP at least! And if he ever used fuel to power it, it might even run 10 or 20 seconds before it seized up from an abysmal lack of cooling.
Are you retarded? if it worked any other way he would be CREATING energy.. Do you have motor that runs on comp. air that produces more power then used to create the comp. air? Didn't think so. because its impossible.
Now if you replaced the comp. air with gasoline and combustion you still don't create energy. You are simply releasing/converting the energy stored in the fuel. He is claiming that his engine has a 60% eff. compared to the 20% or so, now a days, which means less heat produced.
@billj3cub : yeah, isn't it awesome that he can take 1200 hp worth of shop air and make 850 hp worth of energy output on the shaft? Yeah, that's like 70% cross efficiency isn't it? wow...you're quite an idiot for making that statement. Firstly, you might want to know, that this was fed only through 1 input...now imagine what work would've been done on the shaft if he had used both inputs? This was a test of displacement, it created work AND moved air in the other 3 chambers. Amazing.
I've heard about this engine since 2005. Angel labs company is in business since 2001.They have liabilities of $2M. It's 2009 and they still don't have a licensing deal or any proposition to put the engine out to consummers. Eight years and nothing? No investors or entrepreneurs interested?...
I don't like this, they are going nowere. Not investable.
Put an exhaust system on it to control some of the noise, then bolt it up to a dyno and let's get some Horsepower and Torque readings from it.. Very curious machine.. Good luck with it!
This seems to me to be a test using compressed air. Do they have a running test using fuel showing some kind of ordinary acceleration that we are accustomed too? It's a great idea but it has got to work for it to be useful. In a few days from now, it will be the year 2008. I don't see it being used as a fluid pump in this configuration because fluid does not compress.
this engine will never make production like their motor their head is full of air waisting time is what they are doing

could you see it with a three phse dynamo on back and electric motors at each wheel? sorta like railroad?

Why the fuck don't they run it on fuel?
