So you get 1700 lumens for the 100 watt equivalent...what is the actual wattage of the new switch bulbs I think I heard somewhere that it is 100 lumens per watt but I can't find that source again...anybody know? the 100 watt equivalent would then be only 1700lumens/100 = 17 watts.
A lot of media coverage for these Switch bulbs .... including a feature piece in Wired Magazine. The Wired article is a long one, but it's worth the time.
No official specs released for the bulbs so far .... though I found a couple of info nuggets in other media coverage; 100 Watt (equivalent) bulb, A19, 1700 lumens. MSRP= approx. $19.99 to 29.99 (USD)
attn; early adopters .... join me on the switchlightbulbs, com email list. ' The light emitted exhibits full, incandescent quality, radial flux'
These Switch LED bulbs look like a good step forward for light bulb evolution. good quality light, good light dispersion, mercury-free,etc. should be available soon from switchlightbulbs, com
btw, there's a USA company (Chicago area) that makes 20,000 hour incandescent bulbs; aerolights, com
Switch light bulbs also has a good 'company page' on facebook.
I uploaden a video response, hope kanellosgtm will accept that. You can see a stack of this leds.

My guess it's plain simple mineral oil inside that bulb. Am I right?

I can't wait for some other configurations or bases to come out, like spot light, GU10, etc.
