How-to make a Pinata, Decor It Yourself

Instead of putting glue on the mixture... you can warm the water.. and slowly add the flour... you have to be careful to keep stirring all the time to avoid lumps... as soon as you have a nice gluey paste you are ready to use it.... this is what we call "engrudo" not sure if there is a translation for that word... anyway.. that´s how we used to do it... loved your vids!!! ;)

Tips to make a nicer piñata, use engrudo, mix 1c of flour 1c of water and a bit of salt, heat it in a stove until it is stiky. You can make an animal, use a smaller baloon for the head and construction paper for leags, ears, tail, etc, you need to cover the baloons with 3 layers of glue and newspaper and the construction paper with 2, it might take more tha a night to dry, but after it is dry you can paint it or use indian paper with our glue.again

okay that is a cool idea but meg should´ve done more research, if you want a really pretty piñata you gotta use a different glue called engrudo, you make it with 1 part of wheat flour, 2 parts of water and a bit of salt, you put it in the stove and its ready, then you should use newspaper instead of magazines, read my nest comment

@rapelpecho first of all, the diference its how hard the piñata will be, and also how smooth the surface will be, using the right glue will lead to a better result. And secondly making a piñata has been part of the mexican culture for ages, so its kinda a tradition to use that glue.

Hey you can make your pinata stronger by doing a lot more layers of paper first. Also you can make a bigger pinata by building your paper layers over something like a deep glass bowl or by using one of those really big punching balloons! Add more string lines of you go Grande to support the whole weight. also you can cover with little wads of birthday tissue paper people forever throw away from gift bags. My daughters pinata cost me $20 last year, insane! Go Green and Viva Pinata!

tip: for a better result put the "glue" mix on the stove for a few minutes, it'll make the mix works better, and isn't necessary to use glue, just with the flour and water, it works ok

i once made a pinata but like different , i used a cardboard box and yea put paper and crap to make it hard and then drew horeys on it :D. ok, this is shit. first, a balloon is too small. use a punching balloon. theyre lik 3 times bigger. and u need more than 2 layers of paper. ive made one b4, and i needed over 5 layers, and it takes more than 1 night to dry. if u use newspaper, you can paint it however you want.
