It isnt remastered, but theres an option to smooth the graphics.

it's more simple beat it with the invincible /invisible head, and yes the second part music really rocks!!!!!!!!!!

I believe to be the only person in italy to have this game in original version my parents give me for my birthday (1994 - 14 yr) and continuous to still play today (25 yr)

Heh, this was one of the hardest bosses of my Genesis days. Despite this, he was one of my favorites. The music was awesome, I loved how the formerly dorky boss suddenly got pumped up, and he was challenging! They knew how to make you work in your boss fights back in the day, youngin'.

When i fought this guys 2nd form, I did the whole - Have the gatekeeper grab the outside of the screen so a powerup display to show up and hit the invisible powerup(gotta watch the one where it makes u practically dead)

You know in his first form if you run behind him when he stops to attack he can't hit you

You have to be in his line of vision so Heather can throw the key into his back.

gosh, this boss was INSANELY hard to me. Eventually beat him though, never beat the game on Genesis though, always ran out of lives towards the end. Had to use the emulators save feature :( haha

I defeated him without knowing that th arm would follow headdys head :| i just jumped and duck in perfect timming! Oh and i defeated the last boss without loosing any health

This boss isn't hard, if you throw the bomb you lose a great opportunity to train some skills (and 10 minutes to beat the bosss the regular way xD)

Oh, so you just throw your head around to ward off the claws? I usually acquired the Empty Head powerup and let the creep hit me as much as she chose. Yeah, invisibility doesn't protect one from the bomb that explodes when you hit Heather. The first time I reached this level, I almost got the wrong idea about Heather (thinking she too was a villain) but changed my mind while continuing play. Heh, steam rising from Nasty Gatekeeper's head.

Unfortunatly, this game never got the recognision it deserved, due to the fact it was released one year before the Saturns release, so it's not well heard of. Anyways, one of the best games EVER, and awesome music!

Nasty Gatekeeper Music: You're IZAYOI. To easily Defeat Nasty Gatekeeper, just wait until Headcase gets the bomb head powerup, or invisible power up it's smooth sailing from there on out.

Nasty Gatekeeper is a huge pain if you don't know how to dodge his crazy swipes.

Yeah, if you don't know how to dodge Gatekeeper, he'll own you. You can get the Empty Head in this battle, which will make you invincible (except if you hit Heather) and you can make the battle infinitely easier. But you know, I've never seen a boss so freakin' TICKED OFF when he's hit. Look at the smoke coming from his head!

Yes, I could do that. If you get the bomb head you can finish him very quickly if you are lucky and hit him with the bomb

Pretty good, though you didn't (need to?) get him to grab the box of heads. When he goes to smack you with his free hand, if you have him fire it off the edge of the screen he'll bring back a box of powerups containing Invisible, Bomb and Melon heads if i'm not mistaken.
