I love Lauryn Hill. But I can't ignore that Lady Gaga's talented, too. She just chose another path. I completely understand the people who prefer deeper lyrics like Lauryn's. But I can have a lot of fun dancing, acting silly with friends listening to Gaga. Besides, I hope Lauryn herself would never generalize talent (or "no talent") like some people around here do.
I admire the fact that you chose your family above anything else, but I wish you could've continued on the path you were on musically. You had the ear of the whole world and you could've enlightened so many others through your message. Then again maybe you did do the right thing... Anytime someone was that large of a figure and they were sayin' a lot of things other people didn’t wanna hear (exposing the truth behind the curtain) thats when most of them met their end. @kargyraa1 I saw her in concert 2 times back in the late 90's. What i'm saying is when she had the whole world listening ( back when she was REAL popular) she could've continued to helped many of these lost young women out who NEEDED a postitive figure in music. Nicki Manja, Rihanna, and even Beyonce with some of her songs are not a great positive influnce as Lauryn is. There is no one like her...
