Actually, this series began as adult pc games. The ova based on the first game was toned down for a general release, whereas Neo stays closer to it's adult origins for the animated version.

This anime didnt START OUT as an H title. It was 1st released by adv films called VG (w/o the Neo). But then when they added the Neo, well it became an H title. Who knows. All I know is that I own the hotter version. XD
