Abydosaurus comes from Abydos the Greek name for a city along the Nile River which was the burial place of a head and neck of the Egyptian god of life death and fertility and Sauros is the Greek word for lizard.

Mcintoshi comes from American palaeontologist Jack McIntosh, who debunked the myth of the Brontosaurus, exposing it as a mixed-up skeleton of an Apatosaurus body and a Camarasaurus skull.

I hate when paleontolgists state things as fact. "The largest animal to ever walk the earth" That we know of, he can't say for sure. There maybe so many extinct animals we haven't even discovered yet.

They say that because it would be a pain to say that we know of every single time. Also it is very unlikely that anything bigger then a sauropod could live on land. It's possible but improbable.
