I've been to Canobie many times, but never rode the Twist. This past weekend, my son got his 48-year-old dad to try it. What a rush! I saw a similar ride in the 1959 French film "the 400 Blows", so this is a very old ride experience. Apparently, it doesn't get old!

I almost threw up. all of my friends ran to get a drink and we were going to go on untamed but we were all sick. None of us could even get on any roller coasters. but then we went on divencies dream and i threw up lol. but otherwise, i hate this ride. some people can handle it alot better.

I remember this. I had a panic attack on it, and I was yelling "stop!! stop!!!", and my friends were all like "STFU don't ruin it". So I just did what I had to do; I dealt w/ it. I just layed back, relaxed, and imagined that I was laying down on a bed, on a different planet. (Why a different planet, you ask? Because I felt much heaver.) And I had my eyes closed, and whenever I didn't have them closed, I would just look down, and not up, because that would make me dizzy and anxious.

I reccomend if you have asthma dont ride this ride. It gets hard to breathe. Your skin is "pulled back" and it can hurt.

I grew up in the area and I was using this ride some 25-30 years ago! The room spins so the people become stuck to the wall. The floor then lowers so they are a ways up. It is the centrifugal force keeping them pinned to the wall.

They had the same kind of ride at Six Flags in Dallas/Ft Worth when I was a little kid (early 80s). I remember riding it and freaking out when the floor dropped - apparently it only goes down a couple feet, but in my 4-year-old mind, it seemed like it went all the way down 8 feet or more below us.
