I didnt care much for the last two U2 albums, beyond a few songs on each that I thought were absolutely brilliant, and this song is the true gem on Atomic Bomb, it would have fit in perfectly on Joshua Tree.
Fortunately, it sounds like the new album is more geared towards this harder, edgier old-school U2 sound of the past (despite the horrible "Boots" single), and this song was probably an early indicator of it.
the beatles Instant Karma.... always great u2 does do excellent at covering Beatle's tracks be a kick if they ever did "Yellow submarine" or even paper back writer
OMG! That sounded so good! They didn't play "Crumbs" when we saw them in Tx.*sigh* but our family still loved the show(our 9 yr old knew all the songs!). Lol- Bono draped a Mexican flag thrown to him on his shoulders and did a hat-dance during "Fast Cars"! Thanx for such a great post-love the two songs together.
Heheheh. Hilarious when they played abit of Regge and Bono tried to speak in a Jamacan accent. The real funny part is that he pulled it off rather well.
This is one of those hidden gems late in an album. This song is soooo great. One of my fav's on the album.
