  • nice review but when are u gonna put the darn thing on

  • I hate the sound signature, the highs and mids were just way too recessed IMO. They do isolate a nice amount of noise and they are quite comfortable for on-ear headphones. I wish they had smoother and crisper highs.

  • Worst headphones ever had. Plug was broken in 2 days, bit tight just for kidheads, not stretchable for your head comfort or in other words- you can stretch for a minute but pressure does it's own. Sound, ... huh, what sound?- threw the pain in my ears can't remember anything. Tip for djing people- NO!

  • WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HD205 AND HD205 II?

  • they are meant to be on ear headphones :| and they're tight until you work them in after a while they will loosen up, and in terms of sound quality they are miles ahead of most similar priced headphones

  • These headphones are TERRIBLE!

The sit on the ear instead of over it, and they fill only fit nicely if you have a small head.

In addition: these headphones give me terrible earache and headaches. Even at the lowest sound setting it seems they are tearing my eardrum apart.

Bought mine a few weeks back, can't use them for long, and about to throw them away now.,

    My opinion: DON'T BUY

  • Voice quality!????

  • haha you sound Welsh when you say "bit tight". thanks for this review :)

  • these are a crap pair of headfones. had mine for less than a week and they broke. highly recomend not gettin em. the right speaker thing swings for u to listen to the live music playing. it broke after 2 hours. they are CRAP,

  • they look sexy

  • hey buddy, No Microphones on this one!!!!

  • it has a microphone?

  • Hey how is the bass on this. What s the difference between this and the HD 215; Am asking of bass as I bought a PX200 2 and sold it the next day... Please respond and help me buy one ... Thank you

  • @gallaashish hey this HD 205 are pretty good for overall music listening. But if you are specifically interested in Bass response then HD 215 will be a better bet, but they are quite expensive compared to 205's. I would also suggest at this price point you want to check out HD 518 which is also pretty good.

  • @gallaashish Terrible bass, i would say, so don't buy them. Get AKG K81 instead, like i did. The HD215's are more neutral and have brighter sound but i must say that the AKG's have much lower and better bass.

  • I have had these for few months.. Ears hurt like hell after a few hours of listening and the sound quality really isn't the best. Can't handle bass very well.. Gives static or something at times when it goes really deep. Also, these are loose as hell and I never dropped these or anything... I'd say go for something else if it you can afford it.

Obviously these are good for the price range though, these aren't BAD in anyway, just could have used some fine tuning make 'em perfect...

  • hd205 or hd428? which one would be better for the ipod + audio instruments (like plugged into a bass/guitar amp)

  • The sad thing is, these probably sound as good OR BETTER than Beats Pro.

  • Why do people always comment on here that beats are better!! These Sennheiser HD205 are great for their price point so don't knock them and if you compared the beats by dre to a pair of headphones in their price range they would definitely come out second best!!

  • @CiaranVanDon Totally agree with you, but at this price point i think these are one of the best available.

  • @yesudasnaidu Thats what I mean these HD 205s are the best headphones you can get at this price, the beats by dre are overpriced and are not a good buy in their price range.

  • @yesudasnaidu Yeah it doesn't make sense, I see people saying BEATS ARE BETTER blahblahblah on every video for headphones. Theyre all just sheep that succumb to trends and clever marketing. These people only spend $150-$400 for Beats headphones for the looks and because they're trendy. There are plenty of better options for sound in that price range. and Saying beats are better than these headphones is irrelevant because these are $40-$90 headphones, and yes they are very good for the price!

  • @joshuagen0cide no that isnt true. i have a few family and friends that have beats, so i wanted them. but i actually got the beats and theyre amazing. theyre really alot better quality and theyre worth the 400 dollars. im not saying theyre better, but its better than basically all the headphones i use. and they do look sexy

  • @yesudasnaidu Do you know if these work on a android phone? (Galaxy S)

  • @darellen1 Yep, they will work on Galaxy S

  • what is the price in India......?

  • @akkinana Between 2500 to 3000

  • @yesudasnaidu do they work on a ipod

  • @x2thezful Yes it does. It has the standard 3.5mm jack which plugs into IPOD just fine

  • @momothelemur i had a pair if k77's and they were giid but they squeezed my ears and after prolly 3 weeks if having them i was running upstairs and the chord got caught on my stair rail. ( thats why i hate super long chords

  • They come in plastic, no glass

  • Do they really come in glass not plastic?

  • oh serious the come in a box !!!!!!!! i never knew that

  • Unfortunate such a thing happened. I have been using mine pretty roughly bt they seem to be perfectly fine,

  • Bought a pair, within a week the left ear stopped emitting any sound and after an hour of use your ears hurt from what can only be described as a padded vice.

Returned them, got a pair of HD 215 II headphones and life is good again.

  • I found that these headphones were lacking... I found my AKG K77's had better bass, mid and treble (especially in the mid and treble dept).

  • Your awesome man!!!!! Why have you stopped your reviews?

  • hi, the headphones are pretty sturdy...i have dropped them couple of time nothing happened to the headphones.....they should be fine

  • looking into buying a pair of sennheiser headphones

would you recommend this? its perfectly in my price range

and they look quite sturdy when it comes to how it was made

are the headphones built with strong plastic? so if i accidentally dropped them it wouldn't break or if a bag were to sit on it, would it break?

Thanks for the review, very helpful.

  • Too much mid range, not enough high. Low bass is good but not as good as a pair of the hd220.

  • Whats the bass like on these im a bass addict so i need to know what they are like

  • Welcome to 7/11 my friend

  • bass incredible

  • thanks bro

  • I'm very disappointed at this product. I had to return the first one due to sharp buzzing sound in the right earbud whenever there was a strong bass. Now the second product has the same issue 10x louder, but in the left earbud.

2/5. Had a lot of promise, but I'm personally disappointed by it.

  • Can other people around you hear what you are listening to?

I have bought them, but I dont know if I should return them. Because I dont like when other people around me can hear what I'm listening two.. I like to listen to loud music.. So, it's not always something people around me like.

  • beats by dre are better

  • @sinz187 Notice the price difference..!?

  • @sinz187 fuck beats they are a waste of money and only cost so much due to the label

  • @harbas94 What do you know? you're 16 and review fucking cell phones for a living

  • @sinz187 um dickhead i mite review phones but that dosent mean i dont know about other technology and i noee coz i had beats and they are not worth the money :)

  • Hello I'm thinking about gettin these and wanna know howd they fit on 7 1/8 head

    Thanks in advance!

  • i thinkmy sennheiser headphones hd 205's but they are really snug

  • is the cable for this long? too long for outdoor use??

  • @polikes yep the cable is quite long...you might have to knot it or tuck it in for outdoor use

  • @yesudasnaidu

    it's 6 feet

  • @polikes

    its 3 meters long

  • hows the bass?

  • @novastarr08 very good...bt i wouldnt say its heavy or anything

  • i have them 2 !! and they god good and nice qualty of music !! and they are realy comfortible !! 8/10 !!!! i have to wear them +2 wheeks and they wil be change a litle bit tho ur head sice and wil giv u alot comfort //**** 1 of the best headphones !!! and tha cable is like 3m long and not 2m

  • @OxxginoxxO wtf learn how to speak porch monkey

  • i have them 2 !! and they god good and nice qualty of music !! and they are realy comfortible !! 8/10 !!!! i have to wear them +2 wheeks and they wil be change a litle bit tho ur head sice and wil giv u alot comfort //**** 1 of the best headphones !!!

  • looks like a great pair of cans, I know it doesnt have active noise cancelling, but does it have good sound isolation? Compared to the hd 448?

  • @mrjkhmusicman havent used the HD 448 so cant comment, bt the headphones have very good sound isolation by themself...they sit tight on ur ears even that helps in isolation

  • looks like a great pair of cans, I know it doesnt have active noise cancelling, but does it have good sound isolation? Compared to the hd 448?

  • i just got mine and im using it to listen to u lol. i like it the sound is very clear and loud. but the bass is not good enuff for my taste and its pretty tight witch gets anoying after a while. alsso witcshss iss best this one or beats by dre solos?

  • trust me these are one of the best headphones in the market, it has great bass and it's very comfortable

  • am glad you know that, i hope you will widen you horizen to know that popularly millimeter is termed as MM...thank you

  • millimeter not em em

  • i have HD 201 and they r really good...Buy Sennheiser guys it really worth its price also they really durable too....

  • @sitadriver i'm planning to buy HD 202

  • @acairowks90 Great ! but i have heard they r a bit Less comfortable so do your research otherwise every sennheiser is great.

  • awesome review, subbing :)

  • the headphones are quite tight, u can jog with them on: no probs. But the cord is too long so u vl have to tie it or something

  • is they nice to wear for your head, and is it possible that you can jogging with them on without they are falling of or jumping to much on your head? :)

  • I think they could be good gaming headset (if u dont mind the headphones being a bit tight), also they do not have a microphone to talk into........bt the long chord is welcome....

  • hi, im interested in buying this headset and i'm wondering if it will be suitable to also be used as a gaming headset as well. much appreciated jeevan

  • ur welcome...good decision!!!

  • Brilliant, thanks! Was gonna buy some, now I'm not, don't want tight headphones :D

  • yes they are very uncomfortable when used for like 3 hours or longer. Now Im waiting for Sony MDR-XB500

  • @Sesulak i had that pair, they are great quality, but one of the cups just broke of completely. i took pretty good care of them

  • i really dnt have any issues with the jack .... "to each of his own, i guess :-) "

  • i have the same headset! but the jack are shitty!!!

  • what would the best headphones for bass and sound quality from 150-220

  • hey u have a good budget to buy the headphones, there are so many models available in that range. I suggest you check out some of Bose headphones, they are excellent overall performers. For bass i would suggest senneheiser HD 212 pro, realeased few years back but still pretty good headphones for bass...

  • I'm looking to buy some of these headphones but this would be my first time so could I get some expertise on the subject please?

My first concern is sound isolation.

    Second, is comfort

and third is money. I'm willing to pay up to 80... maybe even 100 but that's pushing it, but I would prefer to not have to go that high.

As for sound, as long as I can hear it that's good enough.

  • Sorry I meant hd 205 or hd 202.

  • Which is the best bang for your buck? The HD 205 or the HD 203?

  • These headphones are amazing. I must say that until I saw your review I didn't know I could turn one side round...thanks :)

  • great quality but these are giving me a headaceee! as you meantioned they are kinda tight on your head... lol.. i hope i get use to it :\

  • @LuvSoundz trust me you will. youre ears will be reshaped to suit them. I don't notice them anymore!!!

  • i wanna buy a nice pair of headphones for about 50-100 bucks. the isolation (intereieur to exterieur and inverse) is also very important for me as i dont want to bother others around while listening to some music. what is ur recommandation?

  • @wolfganganderson You can try the sennheiser 448....very good pair of headset...only its little bulky to roam arnd with...bt excellent headphones

  • But you didn't mention the most important thing: the sound quality.

Is this one of those awful 'enhanced bass' headphones so favoured by the boom-boom generation, or do they have a balanced response with clear sparkling high frequencies?

Also, how well do they insulate from the outside world?

  • The insulation is pretty good....and the bass is balanced, not very high or heavy....

  • wich is better and smaller 215 or 205

  • well that 205's are smaller than 215, but the 215 is tad better in terms of comfort and sound...but also pricey thn 205's....

  • Hi, I want to buy HD205 but want to know if it is comfortable, which one is better HD202 or HD205

  • The HD 202 are undoubtedly much more comfortable than the 205's. Only thing is that 205's are a little bit better than 202's in sounds quality....bt then they lack the comfort factor.. i suggest 202's if u looking at comfort

  • @yesudasnaidu well i passed the 205 they fit good if you dont habe big ears and a big head :P

  • @priyankopaul

the 202's i assume are more comfortable since they are over the ear type. i never listened to the 202's personally so i can't compare sound quality. the 205's i have are amazing in sound quality. far better then the highly marketed monster beats solo or crappy skull candies. the comfort issue people complain about on these can be simple to fix by stretching these on a chairs arm leg or computer tower overnight.. they require burn-in time also to relax the drivers.

  • @priyankopaul I own both 202 and 205s. The person is right. But I'd say go for the 205s. The 202s do not isolate outside noise whatsoever.

  • ok...these headphones sound rlly great. But they hurt my head soo much. They r sooo tight..literally..tight on your ears/head. Dnt buy these. Buy the hd 203s. Theyr a lil cheaper anyway. but much better quality!!!

  • i like the way you said "Neat little bag" ecspecially with the indian accent. =D

  • :-D

  • sennheiser is one of the best brands in relation price-product.... i give it 5/5 to almost any headphones from this brand

  • I want to buy these. I never had any type of headphones or earphones of more than $20 dollars. All of my 'phones were what came with my mp3 player. Will these Sennheiser 'phones "blow me away"?

  • i hope so.....these headphones are pretty good....

  • @xsCrApPybXx no,mine broke in three weeks

  • @xsCrApPybXx You can pick up a refurbished pair from Amazon for around $15 right now. Reviews on head-fi.org have shown that they're pretty good for their price range, and either way, you won't be out much if it turns out you don't like them.

  • can you use the 205s with a ps3?

  • the PS3 doesnt have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so guess u wont be able to use it with the ps3

  • @LegacyReckLeSs1

Yes, you can. Just plug it into your TV's audio plug.

  • You Kick My Dog!

  • just bought one

  • which is better this one or Sony MDR-XB300?? cause I dont know to which of these two I need to choose

  • I've had some of these for about 2 years, but they are uncomfortable after a short while - thats my MAIN issue with these (I have some Sennheiser 580's - so i'm probably spoilt here:)

    Thanks

    Anthony

  • i use these in my studio. they are great for vocals and dont leak!

    awesome product

  • i have a few problems with this model: they're tight, which gets uncomfortabe after about half an hour, especially if you wear earrings like me...the extra long chord, its bulkiness- which causes me to go back to my crappy old earphones 'cause it's such a hassle to carry 'em around in my bag, it looks like a pair that would only look good for men, and last but not least, people around me can hear to the songs i listen to! or so i've been told. i'm currently selling mine. any takers?

  • yep, i agree with the the first two problems, many users find the headphones very tight and the chord tooo long......bt i think the sound is contained much better in this headphones than many of the others that i have used......

  • Got this headphones 5 days ago and I love them! Sennheiser wins.

  • cable is 3 M , Very nice headphone

  • cheers for the review mate

  • That's cool how they turn like that (at 1:55). I have the HD428

  • I bought them today!! love them already

  • i just ordered these the other day. pretty excited. does it leak any sound at all? say im listening to music at average volume in school. will the people around me hear my music?

  • I think u shd be prety safe at average volume...thr is so leak or anything at medium volumes.....i wonder if u would be able to hear the people though :-)

  • @yesudasnaidu i'm usig HD-205 for 6 monnth i have no words to describe it - best german quality ever!!!!

  • absolutely agree with you......high quality stuff

  • I got this headphone, and the sound is great! only the bass is not very deep. It even wears really good. excuse me for bad enlish, I only wanna help xD

  • thanks buddy, so glad that u commented.....agreed the bass is not that deep....

  • this headset are good?? the sound is good

  • You speak English very well.

  • Thanks alot mate ;]

  • i bought them 3 years ago and still works proppertly. i recomend them

    40€ / 50$ really worth

  • Yeah, the headset is pretty sturdy...my look just new after prolong usage ....

  • real nice headphones, they look smart if you go out and about the bag is also cool, leather i think and the sound quality is nice for bass, not too bassy though, its just right so the sound is clear and not distorted

  • thanks bro love ure review :)

  • is the cord detachable?

  • hey, nope the cord is not detachable

  • Thanks

  • it's ok, not more

  • Is the headphones realible?

  • hey thr, these are pretty reliable headphones, they stay quite well even after rough use

  • I just bought the 205 and it's still in the box, but i also have the 212 pro. Do you know the difference between them?

I think the 205 looks nicer, I'm not too sure about the sound quality though. Thanks, nice review.

  • how do they look when you put them on? do the look cool?:P cuz ive been looking for good quality headphones(sennheiser) that dont look too bad

  • they look quite nice while on.....bt not stylish like the skullcandy ones......bt still they have their own charm

  • @yesudasnaidu I bought other headphones instead (philips, dont know the number) Skullcandy is just style, no quality at all i had one and it broke in 2 months

  • skullcandy is so garbage. the warranty is cool, that you can send it in and they give you new ones in return. but whats the point if they keep breaking, right?

and i think the quality is garbage too.

  • yeah i agree.

  • the sound quality is very good for the headphones, i think the major difference would be the comfort level while using both the headphones........the 212 might be more comfy

  • My REVIEW:

The Sennheiser headphones are good for it's price. They have a nice quality sound. They have a rich bass, but it may be a little bit more bass. The Sennheiser headphones are ment to be a DJ headphone, so they are tight and that's because they mute, passive, the environment sound. The earcups are small, but after a few times wearing it's OK. It's a good headphone! I recommend this for all of you.

  • what earphone would you recomend for about 100-150$ good for hip hop???

  • Sennheiser HD 250

  • I bought some skull candy's and they were crap! they didn't go very loud, you could still hear alot when you had them on full and they sometimes crackled on full volume. (pink ti fur) so I am considering getting these, but are they closed cups? cause I also like the 201's and the 202's but not sure which to get? any help guys? xxx

  • hey yesudasnidu you could have turned them on so we got an idea of sound leakage! and you could have modeled them too so we can see what they look like on! lol

  • hhhhaaa, cool suggestion taken.....will utilise the ideas in my next video...thanks

  • Thanks! I think it over yet :)

  • Are they better than Sennheiser 201 ???

  • the 201's are more comfy, bt i think the sound quality is marginally better in 205

  • yep only one side is negotiable. it rotates 90 degrees....thanks

  • How many degrees to rotate? Only one side of the negotiable?

  • hi i got them just Under £ 20, but i guess the you will have to pay around £25 pounds now for the headset

  • most important. The price?

  • hi, they sit quite smugly on ur ears and u vl hav very little or almost no ambient sounds. yep u can play at full volume and the headphones are quite fine......no distortion

  • im thinking of getting these, whats the sound isolation like and can these headphones go very loud without getting distorted?

  • Yeah i have few skull candies they look cool, but durability is a problem. which is not the case with sennheiser's

  • I bought SkullCandy HESH headphones but a part of thm cracked(I noticerd it today and ive had them for about 2 months) so now im looking for Sennheiser headphones becouse i heard it is good quality stuff

  • Do you know of any better headphones for bass? for the same amount of money.
